  • How did you assume the caste of track cleaners? They also write exams and get selected to do the job. They are railway employees, too.

these tracks are not from colonial era. This BG routes is made by Indian railways. They are not low caste dont spread fake details. Fastest Train is Vandebharat and Gatiman at 160Kmph

Another interesting fact is that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, ex-President of India and one of the world's best missile scientist was born in that small town of Rameswaram at the Southern tip of mainland India. From being a fisherman, to becoming president of world's largest democracy, his journey is very inspiring.

37:08 "TO IMPROVE THE TRADE ROOT TO SRILANKA" 😂😂 British build road and train to transfer loot 😂 not to improve trade r

I grew up travelling on this train during my college years. I miss Chennai. The kindest people and the best food! - Love from Manipur

28:33 Based on the Wikipedia article, the Railway Workshop at Golden Rock, Trichy was built in 1928 by the South Indian Railway Company, not by the "East India Company"
  • Never been this early in the comments so i had to take the opportunity to say how much we appreciate the countless hours that go into these documentaries. Love n blessings from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹

The British story teller made sure to praise British whereever she wanted . Great commitment to Job Givers!

The trains and rail infrastructure are not from Colonial era 😮, rolling stocks are replaced. Older coaches are scrapped and existing diesel locomotives are being sent to Bangladesh, some African and South Asian countries. Transgenders don't entertain, they are there to grab money from passengers, infront of the camera they behaved 😊. Railway recruitments are based on one's educational qualification and individuals from lower caste are given priority. The train creeps at 15kmph over Pamban bridge. And Hindu's place of worship is Temple, not Hindu Building.

There is no body like untouchables in india as described by the narrator.
  • @jammerules80
20 minutes into the documentary and i still dont understand what is so "dangerous" about this railroad? Get to the point quickly.
  • @lensviewbykaushik
I don’t understand what’s” most dangerous “ in this train journey from Chennai to Rameswaram ??
  • Good Documentary! However, Indian Railways job allocations are determined solely by qualifications and experience, rather than being assigned based on one's caste. Accuracy in reporting is vital. Kindly check facts before publishing.

It is rarely above 29Celcius in winter but in the video they talk about temperature going up to 50Celcius and no where in Tamil Nadu even in summer that kind of temperature is reached.

WOW I so loved this clip, it was as if I was aboard the train. That crossing from Mandapam to Pamban to Rameswaram across the Indian Ocean really set my heart on fire. Journeys like these cannot be explained in words and the memories it leaves can never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing.
