Diana Armstrong (USA) hasn't cut her fingernails in over 24 years.

After losing her daughter back in 1997, her fingernails became a living memory as they used to love painting their nails together.

The longest fingernails on a pair of hands (female) belong to Diana Armstrong (USA) and measure 1,306.58 cm (42 ft 10.4 in), as verified in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, on 13 March 2022.

Guinness World Records 2023 is released in September 2022.

  • Tragic she lost her daughter but she really needs therapy for her trauma much more than a world record 🙁 the nails are an unhealthy attachment/seems debilitating.. she acknowledged out loud "I didn't go get help"
  • You can tell by the way she talks about her daughter that heartbreak is still so raw. I'm glad she found a way to be close to her daughter still. Congratulations to this amazing woman for breaking a world record!
  • That must make the person with the 2nd longest nailed feel like they’re wasting their time. 🤣
  • That is just heartbreaking 💔 Congratulations to her, and best of luck to her and her family.

This is fascinating. The fact that her nails grow that long and STRAIGHT is unbelievable. I just hope her nails look clean and well-taken care of like that of the former record-holder. It would have been a sight to see. Congratulations!
  • Random thought but in another life this lady could've been a model, she is truly stunning and gorgeous
  • Pfff to each their own way of dealing with losses, but this doesn't seem healthy at all. You shouldn't sacrifice your own life to remember someone, no person would want to pass that burden on their relatives. In the end a lost relative is as close to you as you keep him/her in your mind. If you want to use a token of remembrance to keep your memory of your relatives close by all means go for it, but don't mistake the token for your actual memories. In the end nails are just nails.

This is so heartbreaking. I lost a child so I completely understand this pain. Everyone deals with grief in different ways. For her it’s not healthy to embrace this. I’m so sorry. I wish I could meet this woman and hug her
  • It’s somewhat unsettling to look at but it’s still a very sweet sentiment
  • To each his own but I pray she finds healing for tremendous grief. I was depressed after my mom died in 2010 and didn't snap out of it until now, in 2022. I understand 1st hand what she's going through and the effect but I hope she heals.
  • I have millions of question on how she do basic things with her hands like using her phone,…
  • She has not left house In ten years I can't even spend 10 minutes in my home without hearing yelling
  • That's insane. How do you wash, eat, go to the bathroom? This should not be encouraged.
  • Congratulations!!! I didn’t not know why you grow your nails out, Auntie. Now I know❤️! Your are Amazing and very special to me!
  • I would be scared to come around her I would stay six feet away because I would not want to damage her nails by accident. That is amazing and dedication!!!

She's a Beautiful Soul inside and out. She's Strong. She's also Naturally Artistic Aesthetically. She is Walking Art. Yes, I'm sure her Baby is Proud of her. ❤️ No Doubt. 🙂
