I used to work with this guy in 82 to 83. He was a new burn Tech in St. Barnabas in Livingston, NJ. I was an experienced ICU nurse from Elizabeth NJ and the burn nurses and doctors were not very nice to new people then, meaning to me. They loved this guy. A burn tech was like a nurses' aide, only with a bit more training, like they could assist with dressings and do b/p and blood sugars. This male nurse who was a big union guy was training him and they LOVED Cullen there, because he would give out this nurses medication for him and chart for him. (Officially RNs were not supposed to do this, but some did and it made their work easier. Some burn techs got angry at me because I would not let the techs give out my medications for me. I was responsible for my own!) I was in my early 30s then and he was in his early 20s. The count of murders may have been higher, since back in the 70s and 80s and even into the late 90s there was "Floor Stock" available and most meds were not assigned to one patient, or they were sent for one patient, but anyone could take as many as desired. (Except for Narcotics which were counted every shift.) Most hospitals did not have systems in which you could only take out one medication at a time until the late 90s to 2000s, probably after computer systems were initiated. We had computer printouts at St Barnabas when I was there, but there was no online and nothing was kept track of individually.

I can’t believe none of the facilities was ever held responsible.
-
Just letting you know it says Charlers instead of Charles in your thumbnail! Can’t wait for the video to premiere!!!

The good nurse brought me here. I have to say the two lead actors were phenomenal. Incredible acting. Masterclass

I’m a nurse myself and this story is terrifying to me. I can easily see how a crazy nurse could easily kill someone. Or a nurse who isn’t careful. Patients and families are completely trusting that medical staff will do the right ethical thing. Thankfully most nurses I work with are great people and want to help their patients. This guy was a nut. Scary. This guy should have been caught earlier! Shame on the hospitals who tried to hide anything that may have taken place in their facilities.

The sad part is that this is the norm in hospitals. They’ll rather fire you to avoid facing the heat from investigations of their facilities. As a nurse, I’ve seen cases of gross negligence from nurses and the facility just writes them up and then fire them instead of reporting them to the board of nursing.

Ive been binge watching these, phenomenal work! And the narrator is awesome too 👌

THAT was the best coverage of this famous story I have seen so far. Very dark and depraved. Very scary stuff , to know that there are many ''mercy''' killers in hospitals all over the world.
-
wow. i grew up in the lehigh valley and this is the first i’m hearing about this case. absolutely insane to think myself, my friends, and family have all visited the medical centers where he was employed…
-
attempted suicide 20 times? He knew exactly how to do this if he really wanted. He had access to the means.....what a huge waste of life.

This is one of best analysis of the angel of death types I've ever watched. It's heartbreaking what he did to those people and their families. Keep up the good work.
