English translation It's true, there is no need to switch on the fan of this home even in summer. This is house named Bansuri of Dr Abhilash and Namitha located in Kanjangad, Kasargod district, Kerala. Main attraction of home is the beauty of red laterite stone. This home is built on traditional nalukett style of Kerala. This house is 3460 sqft in 12 cents of land. Like all other nalukettu houses, in this home also rooms are arranged as thekkini(south),vadakkini(north),kizhakkini(east),padinjattini(west).Front verandah called poomukham,living room,nadu muttam(central yard),kitchen,4 bed rooms dining etc. are there in this home.The wood collected from old houses were collected and reused for windows,staircase and mach (upper roof portion).Heart of this home is nadumuttam(centre yard)which brings both both rain and sunlight.Nadumuttam,big windows and open structure of home makes cross ventilation easy by exiting warm air from house.There is no A.C in any of the rooms.Use of fans are very rare.Second floor is built by laying sheets over flat roof.(some portions are missing) My english is poor,plz forgive me🤗🤗🤗
