I think the change in horse behavior is so funny 😭 Link is all "yeah sorry my bad I'll train him better" I never noticed the horses would eat crops before though thats so realistic to horses LMAO

When teleporting to a shrine in botw, the camera faces link and the shrines entrance, but in TotK, the camera will be behind link, facing the environment instead of the shrine.

the fishing harpoons seems to have been forgotten to keep to not break against fish haha

I believe #8's change was done because of Kilton and Hudson's side quest of photographing Monsters And how they programmed it to save the EXACT pose in the photo So they probably altered it for that purpose

that’s what i love about totk. they added so many minor little details that most players won’t notice or pay attention to but they still added them

This is why I love this game so much - so many hidden details add to the realism of the game! The one with shadows protecting Link against the heat was a nice touch, for example

I think the reason you can now swim up thinner waterfalls is because of the Water Temple and The Legend of the Great Sky Island sidequest. There's also a few sky islands that can be accessed by swimming up a small waterfall.

1:34 The chest magicaly appeared when the dog ate the apple 🍎

i love how much work went into this game i never once complained about how long it took my only complaint was the fact that they delayed it 3 times instead of taking their time and just giving a release date when it was ready it felt like they were dangling candy in my face and taking it back when i tried to reach for it

I'm actually mad about the fishing harpoon thing. Sometimes in BotW I would chill at Lurilen and just fish.

A detail me and my brother noticed has something to do with Zelda's house. Me, who completed the champion's ballad, saw the photo from the ending photo you get once you complete it. My brother hadn't completed it yet, so where the photo would be hanging, it wasn't there. Crazy how many small details Nintendo put into this game.

5:12 And here we see the most important difference between the games. A thematic shift, to be sure. Link finally changed his boxers. In all seriousness, that swimming mechanic from Breath of the Wild seemed more like a placebo. I could not tell the difference between swimming with or without clothes. I’m glad this was fixed.

5:25 For Hylia's sake, Zelda, just bring back the Zora swimming from Majora's Mask in some capacity! It actually made swimming FUN!
  • @GrouchyGander
The harpoon thing is a bit weird... Like, that's a harpoon's SOLE purpose and it can only do it ONCE? I know the upheaval is a thing and all and the gloom rots weapons, but... come on.
  • @Chemonki
All this and we still can’t pet the dogs 😢
  • @Bandikit
Well I mean the harpoons, as annoying as they are, kinda make sense. They're probably decayed like all the other weapons

Here is a pretty cool thing in totk when Link swims up to the waterfall you can move Left and right but I think only work on a big waterfall.
  • The naked swimming thing was probably because it's supposed to be faster than clothed swimming and the increased speed was coded as a constant rather than a multiplier
  • The reason for not being able to use a picture of a dying enemy in the compendium might be because of keaton as you can give him pictures of monsters which hudson makes a statue of in the state they were in in the picgure and I guess a dying enemy statue wouldn't be possible?
  • I love all these little details but especially the fact about being able to relief heat under passing clouds in Gerudo makes me grin so hard.
