The US military has ended its mission to operate a temporary floating pier to deliver more aid to the Gaza Strip.

Supplies from Cyprus would now be shipped by US vessels to the Israeli port of Ashdod.

The pier was only operational for about 20 days due to bad weather, technical and security problems.

The UN and other humanitarian organisations have said the total delivered via the pier represents a tiny fraction of the aid required by the 2.2 million Palestinians in Gaza.

  • As one of the Bangladeshi students, I would like to inform you that Bangladesh is now in a great crisis, especially for the students. The students of Bangladesh have started a peaceful protest against quota system. But the heartless government is using the police force to attack the protesting students. Many students have already died. The government has shut down all the network systems to avoid leaking information. Students are getting hurt for seeking rights. So please help Bangladeshi students by promoting this issue. #SaveBangladeshiStudents
