Fun Fact: during the siege of Yorktown near the end of the war, British General Cornwallis’s dog somehow got onto the American side, and George Washington paused the battle to return the dog back to him.

And 200 years later, John Paul Jones later retired from his duties in the American military, and joined a British band with his mates called "Led Zeppelin", and later became one of the best bass players of all time. What a legend.
