Heard that Arwens stunt actress fell in love with the Stallion she was riding in this scene but could not afford it so Viggo Mortensen decided to purchase it for her out of kindness. What an absolute King
  • Notice how she gets a scratch on her cheek - I think that’s the director’s way of telling us that although she’s magical, she’s also vulnerable.

The beauty, the grace, and the subtle feminine power of Arwen manages to take my breath everytime I watch this scene. Absolutely brilliant delivery.

“ Nîn o Chithaeglir lasto beth daer; rimmo nín Bruinen dan in Ulaer " “Waters of the Misty Mountains, hear the word of power, rush, waters of Bruinen, against the Ringwraiths!”
  • "Give up the half-ling, She-elf." "If you want him, come and claim him." Just two lines. Two lines. Perfectly portrayed the characters, conflicts, and strengths among Arwen and the Ring Wraiths.

One of my favorite moments in this is when she delivers the line “Nuroleim, Asfaloth!” It’s just desperate enough, she’s being very brave but they were catching up. Urging Asfaloth to hurry!! Was perfect
  • i don think anyone else could have played the part of Arwen other than Liv Tyler, this is the best movie she has ever done, she also sings in the movie just amazing

The Fellowship Of The Ring is still my personal favourite of the trilogy, absolutely timeless.

“Give up the halfling, she-elf.” “If you want him, come and claim him!” Badass.
  • This magic is so much cooler than most. No need for a staff or a wand, or drawing a divine symbol.. simply asking the mountains for aid in a dire time of need. Chilling!
  • 2:04 "Waters of the Misty Mountains, hear the word of power, rush, waters of Bruinen (Loudwater), against the Ringwraiths!” (Nîn o Chithaeglir lasto beth daer; rimmo nín Bruinen dan in Ulaer!)
  • 22 years later and this still gives me goosebumps. I watched this in the theater 13 times. I'm totally fine with the change they made from the book.
  • Look at this scene and Liv Tyler, she literally gives off an aura of grace and magic. Now compare her to "Galadriel" in the Rings of Power and you'll see how far media has fallen. Amazing actress in an epic scene, in an equally epic movie.
  • This - Arwen with her sword drawn facing the Wraiths - could very well be a classic painting. Epic scene.
  • I will never forget that moment. Watching this amazing scene in the theatre. So intense!

Arwen is one of the characters I feel was written better in the movie than in the book. She's just a doting bride to be pining for her man in the book. She's dynamic in the movies.

I think what I loved most about the series is how it truly brought to life how menacing and overwhelmingly evil the Ring Wraiths are. A perfect depiction from the books to film. I also appreciated increasing Arwen's presence in the story and explaining that she had to give up eternal life to marry a human.
  • 1:03 when erwin gave her horse the order to go faster her horse literally boosted itself this for me personally was the most spectacular 👌🏼 of this whole sence plus I love horses
