Oh my Claudine sounds like these Dr’s are giving you guys a run around. I would absolutely be asking for a referral to another pain Dr and Neurologist, ones that will sit with Darlene and listen to her pain issues. As you know I have neuropathy and I have never been on opioids. I will send a private message to you both. I wish you well in getting your hernia surgery. Hi Claudine, Darlene and sweet family! It’s crazy that a doctor that has never seen a patient can diagnose them off paperwork. A lot of doctors don’t like it when they think you know more than them Claudine, it’s an ego thing. Nobody knows your body better than you because you live in it everyday. Some doctors don’t want to listen and try to find a solution. If that doctor doesn’t think it’s arthritis, then what does he think it is. He must think he’s so good to diagnose Darlene without even seeing her and not help her is just crazy. I wish you had a doctor that wanted to find out exactly what is causing the pain, so frustrating. Claudine, I am glad you are going to finally get your surgery, but again I wish these doctors would listen to the patients. I hope you can get another consultation. I’m glad Gary can come and help out while you recover. I hope everyone has a very blessed weekend! ❤️

Claudine, I can't even imagine the frustration you and your mom must feel. I will be praying that the geriatician will be the type to WANT to find the cause of Darlene's pain, and treat it with the best thing possible, whatever that is. It is just horrible that no one seems to listen to her and try to find the cause. And for your surgeon to only give you 3 or 4 minutes of his time when you are talking about a 4th surgery ...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️well, I wish he had really discussed what could be done and what is best for your particular situation. It seems like no one is listening to you or Darlene! The frustration you both feel has to be overwhelming. You are an absolutely wonderful daughter to help your mom, and your dad, to the extent you do, when you have your own health issues. I hope this is the year that someone will bring relief to all 3 of you. ❤

A radiologist is more qualified to read her scans than a pain management physician. I hope the geriatrician is able to determine the causes behind Darlene's pain. There may be more than one thing that's lead to so much pain.

In the U.S., Pain Dr’s are awful!!! They do not want to prescribe pain meds cuz they are afraid of the DEA. They also appear to have zero empathy for pain. They only want to do injections as it makes them a lot of $. Your poor mother! I have severe neck & back pain & it’s a horrible way to live. I also don’t like pain meds but they do calm the pain. My Dr says I will need them the rest of my life as my pain would be too severe. The problem is he’s retiring soon and I am doubtful I will find a Dr who will care or listen. It’s barbaric & cruel how terrible Dr’s are with pain. They need to STOP calling all of us “seekers”, it’s ridiculous! Your mother is lucky she has you! You speak very clearly & eloquently and clearly care about your mom.❤️

You go Claudine! I think you’re onto something! I hope and pray that you get the right doctor that will listen to you. My sister has so much pain in her knees that physical therapy has stopped working with her. So now what!? She stops moving? So then what? You can’t have another consult with a different surgeon? My goodness you guys have been through so much! I’m so sorry. It’s just not right. Praying for you all. ❤️🙏🌹

I have been watching for awhile but don't think I commented. I am praying for both of you to get better answers and relief . I have chronic health issues with pain every day too . I am allergic to most pain meds and can only take Tylenol for pain . You are doing good trying to get answers for your mom . I have been told many times don't be afraid to advocate for yourself . 🙏❤
