  • Chris did a great job not only explaining the shock dynos and why a certain brand performed better than the other, but he stayed professional and did not bash the budget MaxpeedingRods which I think would be very easy for most people to do. That’s for this informative vid Tristan!
  • The results of this test were shocking! The winner should strut their stuff! I am sure the runners up will spring back. They all will have to deal with their own bumps in the road though. This video definitely didn't dampen my spirits!
  • @TranceFur
Soooo much valuable information and knowledge in this video! As a suspension nerd, this is just awesome.
  • @ahmetay9948
You have answered a massive question for a lot if civic drivers that have always wanted the best bang for buck when it came to ebay coilovers. You legend!💪💪🚗🚗
  • @aaronw6325
I have been fitting shockworks products to a customers car. I have had several cars with different coilovers but have never driven with anything like the shockworks before! Ive definately learnt from this video, i was unaware that the shock is able to give body control. I thought that was purely upto the spring and swaybars. Thanks very much for taking the time to make this video guys.

Thanks for producing this content and having Chris walk us through the results. I have seen some say that Bilsteins with lowered gas pressure are a really solid setup. I think they may be onto something as Bilsteins on the street can be a bit harsh and have quite a bit of feedback in comparison to a Koni yellow which does ramp up hard, but overall is more comfortable until it's not.
  • @Minecraft-md6fs
Great video thanks alot for going to the effort to teach us all about how shocks work and which ones are good and how the cheap ones are not as bad as many people think.
  • @crxdelsolsir
Thank you guys for this test/review which is not only without any self interest but really objective, technical and really untainted results. It seems "Made In Japan" is the best no matter the brand (Showa, Cusco, Buddy Club) or age (20 or over 30 years). I am sure KYB and Tokico would perform similarly. Safe Real value over time. Mid range price may be a hit or miss. Cheap is just good for stance, mild casual use and short term use.

Just bought myself a 94' Civic sedan dirt cheap and I'm fn pumped to learn all about these awesome little machines! 😁
  • @BMXunion1
Appreciate the content. Made the decision a bit easier. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
  • @Harry-et9ok
New coils would really level up my CXI ive been dailying for the past 3 months, cheers for the good content mate! Good luck to all the boys entering the giveaway!
  • @civic95reborn
Beautifully done, I have used maxpeeding coilovers on my ED and EG civics before, I am currently using them on my EF8 as well and I have an EK4 waiting for coilovers and I would love to win a set of these🤞
  • Thank you for this, it makes the day I can afford these easier, thank you for the info!!
  • @Bbeavis
    Thanks for doing this Tristan.
  • @IsaacKelly2
awesome vid man! helped heaps, appreciate the effort that went into this!!💪
  • I’m running the max speed black and red coilovers on my lowered Camry and I must say they perform pretty good for the price I can’t beat it. Had 2 blown shocks so anything helps. Thanks for the video man!!!! Keep them coming
  • @alfs8
It's a gr8 video! It's interesting to see the progressive dyno on the Maxspeed coilovers; usually, it's often found in the gravel rally dampers but it's for sure not as good as a real progressive rally damper like Reiger or FOX etc.
  • @anthonyreyes288
id like to see more shocks tested/reviewed like this. maxpeeding rods has new shocks out now and id like to see how they look on the dyno. and with all the different coilovers out on the market these days i think this would make for a good video to make every week for a few of them if you can get your hands on more coilovers.
  • I had KYB GR2s on Eibach Ground Control coils. I loved that setup. Lifetime warranty on the shocks to.
