Joe Jackson...pure brilliance as musician, writer, orchestra, et al. One of the most underrated musicians of the era. Genius.

A wise musician who still puts everything into a song they’ve played a billion times, knowing how important it is for fans.

This song has always had a melancholy yet happy feel for me. Strange combination of feelings…

That song will never sound old.
  • Another great musician who's still got it 40+ years on. Keep rockin' Joe!

One of the best songs of the 80s. I heard it all the time on radio while I was rushing around between fulltime college classes and a fulltime job. Music kept me going. Thank you, Joe Jackson for creating a masterpiece of fun! Brilliant!
  • Some people saying how he is underated!? As someone who grew up listening to great music on the 80's, Joe Jackson was always considered to be a great musician even in the early 80's when steppin out came out.The problem is we live in a world now where mediocrity is overrated.

I tuned their Yamaha baby electric grand for their concert in the 80's in Arizona when this song was number 1! I still tune pianos at 71 years old and do many concerts here in Las Vegas! A great find for me here down memory lane! haha

I liked that every Joe Jackson album in that era sounded completely different than the last one.

I've been listening to Mr. Jackson since 1982, always special, and the voice is the same as the one from 40+ years ago, well done Mr. Jackson, thank you a gentleman ahead of his time, kudos

One of my all-time favourite songs. Brilliant insight into just how simple the song was. Thanks for sharing 👍
