A tiny detail I never noticed before. At the very beginning, your first quest marker doesn't say kill the dragon. It says challenge the dragon

I never noticed how his eyes cleared when you first struck him. Maybe at first he's just a mindless killing machine, until he is harmed and selects an arisen.

Ok, I just have to say, there's something really cool about a dragon who is intelligient, (Yes I know dragons usually are intelligient, especially in DND.) But one who actively and somewhat politely tells you to get stronger and challenge him/kill him. He doesn't try to stop you, he just says "Git Gud, I'll even make you immortal." Thats so badass.

This is what I do. I would keep talking with the dragon and keep debating instead of attacking them. I'd make it work. I always do. I know their language. I know the points they try to make.

Man, I am so disappointed with DD2 when it comes to the dragon. DD Grigori had so much more character, much better animations and his fight was more interesting.

the animations for this dragon looks a lot better then dragon dogma 2, he feels more alive and they give him extra animations that really sell his character
