"find 11 competent teammates" Lets slow down a little bit, this is d2 we're talking about
  • @idjit3697
For me the video ends at step 1. Anyone else? Weird.
  • @Spooqi
    Step 1: get 11 competent teammates :)
  • @SirTripps
The 11 competent teammates is the hardest part
  • @sp2rnt419
If everything goes truly sideways during the final damage phase, Some barrier champs spawn on ground level at the far sides of the arena. Can farm a couple tokens if necessary
  • You are better off with 6 competent teammates and you can bring along 1 carry if needed. The difficulty scales with the number of players and 6-7 can easily survive the witness damage phase without bumping into each other.

Making an example out of "crayon, eaten by titan" is golden😭

Nice video Mac. I used this technique with a bunch of random LFG no-mic folks and we made it through first time. Looked like a few Outbreaks in the fireteam.
  • Everyone by default needs to have 2 out of the 3 methods to deal with champions AT A MINIMUM (if u have all 3 you are golden and I love you. If you have titans in your 12 man team make sure at least 1 has a bubble, when you spawn it’s GOING to be a Killzone so you NEED to go to the right side as soon as you can. Well can be overpowered by grandmaster damage so a GUARANTEED protection is ALWAYS welcome. The main objective is to take the RIGHT HAND side objective ASAP as it provides the most amount of cover, even from the middle. If you are struggling to to take the right hand side, get some people to flank through mid by going invis or grappling up to the top of the back platform. This will allow you to distract the enemies for long enough that the main capture team can capture the point, remember: enemies will keep respawning and attacking until you get that point cleared, so it’s ALWAYS handy to pull an Iron Banner and bubble the point itself. Once right hand point is cleared, you can move on to mid, it’s recommended that 4 attack from the top platform, 4 attack from the bottom (mid, behind the raised cover) and 4 attack from the right. This way the enemy AI's attention is divided and you can chip down the health off the bigger enemies while picking off the small ones so it doesn’t overwhelm anyone on either side of the strategy. Once everyone has middle ready and covered, take the point. Now with left side, it’s recommended you take your time with it. Split the team into 6 top and 6 bottom and primarily farm the last champion spawn. You will need at LEAST 20 revive tokens minimum for the witness fight to fall back on. Once you feel your team has enough tokens to cover anyone's stupidity you can move on to the last plate. Debuffs are KING at this section as it takes ages to capture, so bubble that point and ALL the enemies will be close quarters, use stasis/strand to delay the enemy as long as possible and bubble/well the point (preferably one protection super at a time to maximise the protection, remember you are out in the open at close range). Have a couple of people on each far left and right hand sides to deal with the Psions that will spawn and attempt to rip your team out of the capture point and into fire. Once the point is captured, it’s time to battle the witness. Stay in back for as long as possible and assign some of the team on HAND DUTY, if the hands aren’t dealt with at all times, they will rip your team apart. Let the two big bosses come to you if they are Tormentor bosses (aggro them by blowing out their shoulder pad), otherwise attack from a distance if they move out of cover (and they will). Remember: They WANT to to come to them and engage in close to mid range combat as their attacks only go so far before dissipating. Saint 14 is the only friendly NPC here, and he is your BEST friend(feel free to kiss him and slap his robot rear end), free instant heals and weapon buffs for everyone. Once the two bosses are dealt with, split into 2 teams of 6 and tackle each side's enemies before collecting the light buffs and dunking them into the statue to get your super (this is the only way to get Super) so once you dunk, you are to use your Super for Add Clear (or for a safe collection outpost if you are a bubble Titan). Also be sure to prioritise champions after the bosses as it never hurts to have more tokens (minimum 4 per damage phase). Once you get enough buffs into the statue, it’s normal statue smashing time until the witness kicks you out. I forgot to mention, always make your you are FULLY restocked before doing the witness damage phase. Speaking of which, if you are unsure and/or uncomfortable with damage(if there are any healing well warlocks in the team, use them here it’s really appreciated but put them at the back of the damage plate just in case anyone gets graze damage). Just DONT DO IT, I’ve seen dozen of team members who don’t understand the Witness' attack patterns die stupid deaths that could have been avoided, so just keep the adds that spawn on either side busy until damage phase is done so people don’t get distracted while attacking the Witness. The Witness will telegraph it’s attack so pay attention to the ground lines, if it’s lines go right, go left out of its range and then go back right immediately after it finishes the first attack as the Witness will attack the left side. Try to stay as far back of the damage plate as you can as you will need to cover more distance if you go mid. The Witness will do this attack pattern 2-3 times per phase before deciding to smack the plate, giving you ample time to achieve damage. Do not use rockets, you are likely to kill yourself with all the required moving around with everyone else. Hip firing machine Guns are best here (in my opinion) as the crit spot is large and you can adjust easily. Now do everything I said for the entire witness fight another 2 times (minimum as the buff only goes up to times 3 and the 3rd time is a infinite damage phase), as I stated be mindful of the adds on either side of the plate and have some people harass them to keep pressure off the main damage dealers. Once it’s final stand time and the witness throws up it's shield, BE CAREFUL, it will do it’s attack pattern at least once more while you are talking to your ghost. Then just Kamehameha to win and that’s that.
  • Fantastic guide! Joined a team from the discord and did it first try with this
  • @theF0R3N
Can confirm sometimes he does start doing wave attacks when you need to pull out your ghost, so id suggest a few people stay off the plate during that portion just in case. And the other note he didnt share was there are infinitely spawning champions on left and right during the third damage phase if people are dying or you are low on revives
  • @juanjodpr
11 competent teammates!!! That should be the thumbnail 😂😂. Second thing is the damn lag in the activity
  • @leecummings2949
Best guide I've seen. Just had 3 goes and finished it on my 3rd go. People need to learn how to not die. It's absolutely the most important thing in it. Thanks for the video Mac. Let's hope more people watch this and help others get through it.
  • @ColdAscending
Learn from my mistake - grab the close light lol! Mac's strategy definitely makes this much easier. Best of luck to everyone looking for the Ergo catalyst!
  • @TheSupernastee
can you tell me the purpose of running facet of bravery with a kinetic and solar weapon?
  • @MoDiMMaS
