ABOUT US

We’re the Lockwoods. And we’re traveling the world to experience—up close and in person—all the natural wonders and distinct cultures that our kids would otherwise be consuming only through textbooks and TV. We think it’s a better way to learn and we’re working hard to fund this little experiment in the hope that our kids will grow up wiser, kinder, and more grateful for the beauty of our diverse planet and its people.

Firstly as a Sydneysider can I just say that yours is the first YouTube video of my city by a tourist that has taught me a few things about my own city. Your research into this place is genuinely impressive. Secondly your video and editing skills and content are brilliant! Genuinely top class. Lastly I’m so happy you all enjoyed your time here. I hope you have a chance to come back and enjoy the whole country in summer.

Yay! Your in my country I’m born Filipina but grew up in Sydney Australia been here since 1989. But now I live in Gold Coast QLD Australia. You came in the right weather. And where I live is where the theme parks, if the kids like to go on roller coaster. If you do come this way. Make sure to check out back spectacular. There’s so many to do in Australia and most taxi are meter and the Uber here is good. You tend to use your bank card rather than cash and tipping is not mandatory. We’re all had a giggle when you talking about the alcohol macaroons😂 parts of NSW the state your in, will be snowing soon or just started. I’m going there next week Sydney to visit my other young adult daughters. And for the vivid shows too ❤
  • Don’t worry, many cafés stay open later than 3, quite a few do dinner menus as well so you’re covered 😂 Enjoy! 😊

Loved this video. As someone who was born and lived only in Sydney for my entire life and having visited 41 countries so far, Sydney is still my favourite city!
  • Technically and physically, Australia is in the Eastern and Southern Hemispheres. But culturally we have been a Western Hemisphere country, geopolitically, until about 35 years ago. Now we are a blend of Eastern and Western. We have many residents and students from nearby South East Asia, and our education system has been the standard for East Asian international students for several decades. This is where many come to study in English, and they become accustomed to living in a Western society. Also, many Aussies study Asian languages and/or vacation in nearby Asian countries, like Bali in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

Gosh guys! You are my kind of people. Decent healthy normal (oops, did just commit a grammar gangster rap?) friendly classy cool. I used to ride a motorcycle around the City of Sydney as a Ranger in the 1970's. Man we had some real depth of unity back then. I've lived worked loved and cried my hearts ever in Sydney it'll never die; but change it did and eras went by in Aussie music and scenes. When there were no suburban sky scrapers; changes some were cool some were crude, whatever they were, it's changed galore. Love from Sydney, AU P.S. I agree with "Dobuan75". Your video capture and editing skills are top notch. So bloody enchanting how you all interact and love what you are doing. Bless y'all.

  • Awesome video guys. The facts were very informative about the opera house, I learned a lot. And this is coming from somebody born and bred in Sydney 47 years ago, 1977. Liked and subbed, again, great video.

As a Sydney-Sider, this was definitely a great video but you should really go around Sydney as there a lot of national parks especially the Blue Mountains
  • It’s the Quay, pronounced as Key. While it is now called ‘Circular Quay’, you will notice that it’s shape is semi-circular, not circular. I am a retired Sydneysider, and I recall seeing a photo of a bus with a destination sign (desto) filled with small letters “SemiCircular Quay”. It seems that the first part was dropped at some time and larger letters just displayed “Circular Quay”, then later “Circ. Quay in still larger letters, which made it much easier to read as the bus approached. I suppose most people didn’t notice that the name didn’t match the shape.
  • Thank you for being THE BEST tourists......Great parenting as well
