A is mad at B and B is mad at A. Meanwhile, C is wondering if what he paid A & B for will still work in a week. 🤨
  • Under one of the posts NineLine replied to a Vietnam comment with 'not yet' :( That would be the single best selling map IMO, I don't get why nobody is making it...As for Korea, we have very few assets that would work well there, unless it's a fictional scenario. I'd rather have a cold war central Europe
  • @aviationrambler
I'd dump a pile of cash on a Korea map if it was centered on the Yellow Sea and included both Koreas, a chunk of Japan on the edge, and that Chinese peninsula up to about Weifang airbase. That would have infinite potential for scenario development. Though I imagine it'd probably be period specific depending on when the globe will be ready. Either way though, as someone who studies the Pacific region, I'd really like to be able to fly over there. I will say on the drama, since Razbam did include Heatblur then that means either they are bluffing, which I expect no reaction from Heatblur, or the complaint is legitimate, in which case I expect Heatblur to agree with the statements. Until either of these scenarios, or anything else substantial occurs, I'm just going to take a wait and see approach.

Fair comments. I am sorry to hear about the "dispute" between ED and Razbam. I think that, in the end, both partys need the other. As a keen AV8 Harrier flyer I will take faith in the knowledge that niether side wants this, and that no one wants to disappoint this great comunity (market?) that we are a part of. Every relationship is a test and a challenge, and it doesn't always go right. Just know that everyone will work thier hardest to get things back to some sort of balance for the benefit of us all. We'll just have to keep being patient........

An honest apology can do wonders - peace 🕊️ out
  • @kenhelmers2603
Thanks PHH. I sure hope this comes out well for everyone!
  • I think Vietnam is a great candidate for the seperate purchases concept they're doing in Afghanistan. The flying in North and South were very different mission profiles with very different threats.

What a coincidence! I just started reading a book on the HMS Wager. 😅
  • Listening to u explain the ins, extremely complicated, but i do feel their time could be way better spent making stuff people want instead of over engineering stuff like this, when 99% of ppl just jam it in gps, and most missions are an hour or less anyway.

Anyone else wonder if this "non payment issue" is why heatbur did presales through their own website?... also made me wonder if third parties know actual sales volume from ED😬
  • @Praxics0815
Very worrying. Honestly I can't think of a reason why Razbam would slander ED for no reason. If someone from Razbam claims they haven't been paid for the sales from the F-15E for month I tend to believe it. EDs defence that Razbam violated some unknown clause is rather weak when you withhold the entire payment. Sure you need some leverage to get your partners to comply with their contractual obligations but letting them starve at arms length surly ain't the solution. The nod at Heatblur is probably related to the F-14 and not the F-4. I read from someone (hear say) that Heatblur had similar problems when the F-14 released.

Thanks for the Razbam info, now I know why no Razbam stuff has been in the sales. As I have Mig19 and Harrier, that may end up useless until this is resolved, no money will be spent on this game by me. This is an unacceptable situation for anyone who has bought Razbam modules, and what is happening may be breaking EU consumer law. Thank you, your channel is my go to place for objective news on this game.
  • Hi, electronic engineer here. So actually the GPS/INS feature updates is not important at all from perspective of simulation enjoyment vs time spent. First, the precision of military GPS is not affected by high velocities (this is simple doppler shift in signal processing, you even have this in your customers GPS implemented). The Kalman filter is a basic algorithm! It is so basic that I have shivers when the author of the material mentions this as "complicated". You learn this in the first class of signal processing. So summarizing as long as you have GPS the total error is below a couple of meters. This is a measurement error. It does not matter for plane navigation as this error does not accumulate! Now ... Ehy this improvement a waste of ED time? Basically there is no API for GPS jamming! No one will use those INS features as in most servers we have GPS! At the same time, heat seeking missiles see through clouds and mist. Just saying... They waste time on features the majority of us will not use.

Great update video, and it's a shame as I think both ED and Razban have both turned a corner over the last few years, and things like pay are always going to be techy and needs resolving. But you need to see/ understand what the argument is on both sides before supporting one or the other.. However, as an ED DCS consumer, it's a concern where it leaves the beloved AV8B Harrier, my new favourite F-15E and the Atlantic Map, all which are very good and none wants to see what happens in the past with the T1 Hawk. Let's hope both sides resolve there problems quick and if it helps ED pay their 3rd parties, ED seem keep forgetting about DCS Steam users, missing g us out from all the pre order stages, which may be how Steam is ran and how Steam protect their own users. But there are more people & cash within the DCS Steam community.....

Re: the Razbam/Ed situation - what a mess. Razbam's key devs seem to be in full mutiny, so even if there is an amicable solution between ED/Razbam's respective management - Razbam may well be toast anyways. No devs = no products. RIP to the MiG-23. Redfor is in deep mourning. :( :( :(
  • @UkDave3856
I hope they sort this out, as the M2000 is my absolute jam
  • @wildcard3233
So the question begs , is it better to order the F4 through Heatblur or ED ?
  • @wildcard3233
When a situation arises between ED and 3rd parties like this brings to light that question, what do we really own ! Hope we don't lose any developers bit if we did what happens to the content we have purchased ! More concerning having to login for ED's content what would happen to all our content if ED no longer existed !
  • @JoJo-vm8vk
Razbam Vs ED From the last news, Razbam didn’t receive any payment from ED since F-15E release (which was probably a huge success within DCS scale). No payment for any of their module (not just F-15E) and map !!! Just try to imagine the amount of work which went into F-15E and the quick following improvements.
