  • What samiya does for the somaliland country is beyond hundreds of MPs, businessmen and elites don’t do. It’s shame she is not been supported. Amazing human.
  • @user-kw2fg8so6d
I was in 2018 for six month in Somaliland. I have never met such nice, kind and generous people in my life. I hope I can go back there one day.
  • @koraad68
wow! as a somalilander american thats been supporting this channel for YEARS having yall visit my home country was honestly something I never could have fathomed! And it was more beautiful than i could have imagined! Thank you for sharing my home country to the world and for bringing a bit of home to so many of us diaspora!
  • @Moontess
Ok, I legit was not expecting to cry while watching this episode, but I was so moved by Dr Edna's words and also by Samiya's work with the girls, and both of their love for their people.
  • @4Evablessed
Samiya is a beautiful human. When she smiles it just radiates her face
  • @SHDBandit
Just seeing the smile on her face and the joy she feels talking and teaching about her culture is illuminating and beautiful
  • Big ups to Kwame who captured the whole trip so gracefully and professionally. All the cinematic shots, the colours everything enhanced the video so well. Literally icing on the cake. The guy had to carry that one hell of a heavy camera throughout the trip.
  • Somaliland is one of my fav places in the world and I'm SO GLAD that you told this story properly! Las Geel is remarkable! And the characters in this story make it all the more fun to watch. Thanks for making this bro!
  • @chaggytau4095
I’m Polynesian but this is such a powerful story for these people and where they’re coming from, God Bless the people of Somaliland and thank you and your team for bringing this story to the world #Hope4Somaliland🙏🏽💜
  • i am 60 and see youngment travelling and empowering those they meet melts my heart. Thank you for you xox
  • their editing always gives me goosebumps, the way they build tension and draw us in is addicting. motivates me to get better at telling and sharing stories.
  • My uncle was 17 and herding his camels outside of Hargeisa when he was shot in the head and now I was born and raised in Hargeisa just after the genocide. I have never been short of bread nor had to worry about being robbed/killed. although, we spent more than 15 years living in one of the bombing-affected homes shown in the video and I’m grateful for that. This and many other were our bed-time stories for long. I appreciate you Matt by shedding to light the bitter stories of the Somaliland people.
  • @MoAdib96
This is an impeccable ad for our country. THANK YOU for this truly breathtaking video. Recognition is imminent!!
  • @amiinabdi1821
Thanks for visiting what I proudly call my country "Somaliland". I am sure you had a great peaceful experience there and I urge all tourists - those with a camera and those without - to drop us a visit and go to the lovely beaches (Berbera, Zeila, Sacadadiin), beautiful mountains in Sheikh and Daalo and most importantly interact with the friendly people in all cities. Salute
  • Thank you for telling the Somaliland story so beautifully!! I have travelled to Somaliland severally and was always amazed how I could buy gold and exchange money so easily and travelled so freely. They are a beautiful people and I hope one day they can get the freedom and recognition they deserve.
  • as a Somalilander myself, thank you so much for sharing our country and our story to such a huge audience and educating them about who we are and what story do we carry and what past we've lived through. it means so much to us, and if anyone wanna drink camel milk, eat laxoox( lahooh) and liver for breakfast, see last geel painting and call yourself a millionaire. you are always welcome to Somaliland✌
  • @MohamoudJiayou
I feel an immense sense of pride for my country and my fellow citizens. This video has deeply moved me, and I would like to express my gratitude to Thomas for sharing it with his audience. Samia and Dr. Edna, your efforts are truly appreciated, and I encourage you to continue doing great work.
