Ok, I legit was not expecting to cry while watching this episode, but I was so moved by Dr Edna's words and also by Samiya's work with the girls, and both of their love for their people.

My uncle was 17 and herding his camels outside of Hargeisa when he was shot in the head and now I was born and raised in Hargeisa just after the genocide. I have never been short of bread nor had to worry about being robbed/killed. although, we spent more than 15 years living in one of the bombing-affected homes shown in the video and I’m grateful for that. This and many other were our bed-time stories for long. I appreciate you Matt by shedding to light the bitter stories of the Somaliland people.

They are a beautiful people and I hope one day they can get the freedom and recognition they deserve.
