Terezin Concentration Camp

In this vlog, I visit the Terezin Concentration Camp, situated 30 miles north of Prague. Originally a holiday resort reserved for Czech nobility, in 1940 the Nazis turned Terezín into a Jewish ghetto and concentration camp.

The camp held Jews from Czechoslovakia, as well as tens of thousands of Jews from Germany and Austria and hundreds from the Netherlands and Denmark. More than 150,000 Jews passed through the camp, including 15,000 children. They were imprisoned there for months or years, before being sent to their deaths at Treblinka and Auschwitz. Less than 150 children survived the Holocaust.

I will be vlogging my way through Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey and probably many more.

Join me from the start of my journey so you can say you were there right from the start :)
