Great video! Brought back so many memories of the trip we took two years ago. The crazy thing is that you were either sitting at the exact spots we sat when we went to the Viktualienmarkt and the Chinesischer Turm or very near the same spot (in one shot at the Viktualienmarkt, we could see precisely where we sat). And I think where you were reading your book is basically the same spot where my daughter was playing in the water. My wife says that she watches and likes all your videos. It is such fun to follow you both vicariously around the world! The morning pint is called “Frühschoppen”. Traditionally people meet in the local pub on Sunday mornings after church. It’s a treat. This is an ancient tradition rooted in the time when water was infested with all kinds of waste and dangerous to drink. Beer was an everyday beverage for the whole family. And no, they didn’t get drunk because they did hard physical labor to get by. Germany has very strict beer laws dictating the beer’s purity called “Reinheitsgesetz”. No chemical additives!
