Among the Muslim community of Bradford, 73-year-old Mohamed Fazal Hussain wields enormous influence. In the 1930s he was one of the first five immigrants to arrive from what is now Pakistan to settle in Yorkshire. This absorbing documentary finds Hussain planning the fulfillment of two great ambitions - the completion of his feature film, and his plans to visit his homeland for the first time in 16 years to settle urgent family matters. The programme follows his journey to bring back two of his nieces to marry into the Bradford side of the family. But once in Pakistan, there are circumstances that are destined to test the tough exterior of 'The Bradford Godfather'.

There’s one thing being the eldest and wisest. There’s another thing just bulldozing everyone’s decision making using financial, emotional, and religious blackmail.

Isn't it lovely to look back on how he used his influence to destroy once thriving areas of our once great city.....say what you want about Bradfordians being racist, but our city has never been so segregated as it is right now. It's been an immigration dump since the end of the second world war and it's damaged beyond repair. We're not allowed to speak about the causes of Bradford's problems, I'm pretty sure my grandparents would be very unhappy about fighting in wars for what we have now.

Good objective video but i think focussing on specific peoples houses or cars could be considered as being in poor taste

Filmed in "76 ? Yeah, he"s long gone. Changing some tenses, I still stand by my previous comment.
