This is one of my favourite channels to watch on YouTube. No silly music and properly narrated. Keep up the great work Gary .👍🏼
  • I dont know why, but you are damn so polite, especially the way how you are describing everything. Subscribe

"5000 miles away from home.. With a car that's slowly falling apart.." - that was really nicely put.

I feel and understand your frustration with the 190SL and give you much credit in not pouring gasoline on it and calling it a day. You take on projects that others would / could not, and again, much credit Gary.
  • Such a calming presence Mr Mavers with extreme expertise. A pleasure to relax with. Outstanding.,

Love this channel's content! Gary, I don't know why you aren't a YouTube superstar but I'm so happy you are making content we can enjoy with great commentary and beautiful cars.

Makes me appreciate my old (but not rusty) Toyota. I had an old Mercedes once too - when I was younger...

Gary…good call on retaining the tank. If I could make a recommendation…when removing the old filler cap rubber, take some isopropyl alcohol and clean the paint, then apply a bit of carnuba wax, then install the new rubber…that way, you’ve got paint clean and protected underneath and you don’t have to wax around the rubber and leave residue

Your channel has become most remarkable. The production values are off the charts and the best of this genre. Your background shines through in that aspect. “ A pair of gloves might help, dickhead” 😂 we make these comments in the shop 👍
  • Love watching Gary's resto adventures--and the change of scenery to LA was an unexpected treat. Gary's knowledge and patience and willingness to do the job right, combined with his self-effacing English charm and good-nature, make this channel a must-watch. I look forward to each new episode.

Gettabettacarburetta was the slogan above the Liverpool Carburettor shop I worked in over 40 years ago now..which relates quite well to parts of this episode.Again, thanks for all the retro mechanics memories brought about with these videos .Keep up the good work…Hasta La Vista

Can't wait for the next part of this. The way you fix things reminds me of my dad.
