The Aztec jaguar warriors, known as cuāuhocēlōtl, were elite soldiers who earned their fierce reputation through rigorous training and battlefield prowess. Donning jaguar pelts and wielding spears and atlatls (spear-throwers), they embodied the power and cunning of their namesake. Membership wasn't just about skill; warriors had to capture four enemies alive, a feat seen as a greater honor than simply killing. These elite fighters served not only as the Aztec empire's vanguard but also played a ritualistic role, supplying captives for sacrifices to the sun god Huitzilopochtli. Their bravery, skill, and terrifying appearance made them Aztec society's most respected and feared warriors.

Outstanding ! Now about the Eagel knights (warriors) ?

Awesome documentary! My only criticism is that the usage of "Jaguar warriors" becomes very overwhelming and could use some type of variety in how the sentences are structured at times.

It’s not Tarascan’s it’s Purepecha and they never lost to the triple alliance in fact they won every war and battle against them and Michoacán was dominated by the Purepecha

Jaguar and Eagle warriors were not the special forces of the Aztec Empire. It was the Otomies and the Shorn Ones who were the most elite and highest military societies within the Aztec Empire.
  • He said the Aztecs over took the Mayans 🤔. I though they never crossed paths
