Membership wasn't just about skill; warriors had to capture four enemies alive, a feat seen as a greater honor than simply killing. These elite fighters served not only as the Aztec empire's vanguard but also played a ritualistic role, supplying captives for sacrifices to the sun god Huitzilopochtli. Their bravery, skill, and terrifying appearance made them Aztec society's most respected and feared warriors.

    Awesome documentary! My only criticism is that the usage of "Jaguar warriors" becomes very overwhelming and could use some type of variety in how the sentences are structured at times.

    Jaguar and Eagle warriors were not the special forces of the Aztec Empire. It was the Otomies and the Shorn Ones who were the most elite and highest military societies within the Aztec Empire.
