    People forget always that one handed weapons can be fired while democratically retreating, you can shoot one handed behind you. Very useful when mobbed

    So, according the Eravin, the rework makes the exploding crossbow into a stealth take down weapon instead of a Eruptor clone. Also the magazine changes were not entirely a nerf. They reduced the total magazines but increases the magazines you get when you pick up ammo. Which also playes into it being a stealth weapon. What I've run into with weapons that only fill half their mags per ammo box is they tend to only work with more aggressive, higher death count playstyles. Because otherwise you really run out of ammo in any protracted engagement. The Adjudicator also had the problem really bad in the prior patch. Not only did it only get 6 mags, but you only got 3 per resupply. You basically had to run it with a supply pack and another ammo hog to get results. Thing is, I've also found that with the Defender, with the Ballistic Shield bit build: because it only gets half its ammo per pack, I can end up in a lot of spots where I'm completely out of ammo and no resupply beacon in sight...
  • Punisher is S tier for me against the terminids. Damage and stagger are unmatched. Running dry is never a problem for me as i reload after every enemy encounter, pump action means you cant spam it which helps to conserve ammo. Sure the slow rate of fire doesnt handle crowds well. But when paired with the rover to help with crowds and impact grenades you can become an unstoppable force of nature with it against the bugs. I also use the senator for hive guards and the quasar for heavies. Last mission i did ended up getting 625 kills and only 2 deaths on suicide difficulty.

    For the eruptor they said they will not remove the ability to close bug holes, just the shrapnel. In order to compensate it will do more dmg

    For the adjudicator, equip fortified or engineering armor, then crouch before you shoot. It turns into a laser when you build for it, and the high damage per bullet eats through almost everything
  • I mostly agree with all your senitments in this video. The Blitzer I tried on the recent TCS missions on Max Difficulty. The damage is amazing! One tapping most things smaller than a charger is insane. But it gets held back by 1 thing. The Aim/Hit logic (not sure how to say it) focuses the closest 'hittable' thing. It gets stuck on the dead bug bodies. The Punisher and Slugger stand a bit above it I think. Until they update the body focus thingy? Not as good as it could be.

    I swear I was one of the few that ran the plasma shogun before the buff and it was really good before I always thought it was in part with the scorcher

    If you’re already familiar with how arc damage works you can become a god. My role in the team is to eradicate hunter groups and the blitzer’s stagger is perfect for that. I can rush into the middle of 5 or 6 hunters and come out unscathed by pairing melee attacks followed up by lightning to the face
  • My favorite is sickle for any planet that isn’t hot. If it’s got the breaker incinerator.

  • I've really been liking the Blitzer and used it all last night on level 7. I need to bring a longer range secondary but it handles crowds really well. Love the eruptor but if I die and I'm not thrown near my stalwart it is hard to use when surrounded.

    The ammo “nerfs” also came with an ammo per brick buff which is overlooked bc my teammates don’t believe in calling in a resupply anyways.
  • When did they say the eruptor won't destroy bug holes anymore? I'm pretty sure they said they're removing the shrapnel effect but it will still be able to destroy bug holes with explosive damage.

    Thank you for acknowledging the goodness of the scythe. It’s actually quite good for chaff/trash clear. Lots of people shit on the scythe but I actually quite like it. That said, it is intrinsically a little weird to use because it’s hard to aim, and not as easy as the sickle that essentially just shoots bullets. The scythe forces you to aim carefully and track targets to keep the beam on them. That’s probably really tough if you are playing on controller, so i get why people don’t like it. But the Rover Guard Dog proves that the scythe is very effective when applied properly. I have never gotten more kills than when I use the pure laser beam loadout with laser cannon, scythe, and rover guard dog. Even if the guard dog is responsible for about half of my 500 kills in one mission, haha.
  • I use the breaker incendiary as I don't think any other gun in the game can get me 1000+ kills a match with no rover.

    Finally somebody gives the Punisher Plasma its due. I have been using it almost exclusively lately and I'm basically a god.
  • Yeah, I agree. The assault rifles aren’t bad, but you ask yourself why you’re using them. I main the Liberator Penetrator, and I like it, but 100%, it does not compete with a lot of guns. Things like the Eruptor are just so much superior it’s not even funny. The assault rifles don’t have a niche or specialization which is better than things like the Dominator or Eruptor save targeting scavengers and hunters faster.
