Welcome back Terraria Calamity fans! For this 9th episode of my Calamity Music Reaction series, we finally tackle one of the big ones, the trilogy that a lot of you have been waiting for: The Devourer of Gods Trilogy. In this episode I take a listen to each individual track in the soundtrack version that includes "Servants of the Scourge", "Scourge of the Universe" and "Universal Collapse". But afterwards, I then listen to the "Devourer of Gods" non-stop mix version. Prepare for an epic time!

  • I loved the part where the devourer of gods said “it’s devouring time“ and proceeded to devour my FPS. Truly a gaming moment of all times
  • @pi22aBoy
the dog nonstop mix is legendary, probably one of the best in the entire ost. cant wait for you to listen to roar of the jungle dragon
  • @pizzaboi0263
The Servants of the Scourge Theme is broken up into 3 different tracks cause there are 3 different bosses. Each Boss has its own unique second part of the song. The first one with the bells are for Storm Weaver the worm boss, the second more angry sounding one is for Ceasless Void, the little portal with the wings, and the third dramatic one is for Signus, the one with the creepy cloak. That's why is sounded like "phases" it's just 3 different boss themes.
  • The Devourer of Gods is notorious for kind of being the main gate into the final bosses, being pretty hard and a long fight. With the song, you get a feel like there are stakes, that if you don't do this the world you've built up will be gone. It's one of my favorite fights and songs in the whole mod
  • I really hope DM Dokuro has seen all the love for his calamity stuff recently, it sucks that he lost all passion for it because the fandom being a nasty fandom, he made such amazing music but when he released it they critiqued it and called the placeholder music better, they pressured him to work faster, and eventually his mental health suffered because of these issues and it sucks, I hope he knows that we love his calamity music, even if he has moved on.
  • @Gameboy-kl8br
It's crazy how the D.O.G songs have become such comfort music I can fall asleep to them at this point.
  • @Hotwheelsorama
Universal collapse has to be hands down my favorite theme from calamity. It constantly reminds me that me and Devourer of gods (also called DoG by the community) have a history.
  • @Muth_Zen
Those bells... It all started because of those bells...
  • @shanerdude8121
The the 3 different themes in SoS is representative of each of the 3 bosses that each variant plays for. The first one is the Storm Weaver, and it is the last living member of it's species aside from the DoG themself, hence why it's theme is the most reminiscent of DoG's theme. The second is The Ceaseless Void, a hole in reality created by the DoG harnessed into a weapon. It's quite a chaotic entity and it's theme reflects this well. The final is Signus, Envoy of the Devourer, a shapeshifter who no one knows the true origin of. His theme is probably the most dark because of this.
  • The Sentinels of the Devourer serve the Devourer of Gods. As you fight each of the three to gather materials and summon the Devourer himself, the song will play different sections depending on the Sentinel. Most music after Astrum Deus represent fighting Gods. That’s why most of these newer songs have so many holy bells.

The nonstop mix is definitely one of my favorite tracks in the ost! The tubular bells are used in the later tracks to emphasize the fact that your are quite literally facing off against gods, as well as beings above gods. For more context, the devourer of gods saga of fights go like this: 1. You fight each of the servants as separate bosses: . Signus-type s . Storm weaver-type w . Ceaseless void-type v 2. After all servants are defeated, you are able to fight the DoG(devourer of gods). The DoG fight has two phases(as you probably guessed), and jebaits you with another health bar after the first phase, kinda like the video for universal collapse does. The roar of the jungle dragon is one of the only calamity songs with lyrics, really hope you enjoy it!
  • It really is so depressing what happened with DM Dokuro and the fandom around his music. Calamity truly would not hold the place in my heart that it does without his music, and god do I hope he sees that one day. SO many people were so nasty to him during his time working with Calamity, but god. It's beautiful music.
  • @JetBalrog
I will never get over the ethereal, floating sounding synths in the Devourer of the Gods series songs, especially in the Servants themes.
  • @LordAaronjay
Just listened to the terraria calamity music box album, I absolutely loved it!
  • @hyp3rsqu1d81
Watching you react to my favorite soundtrack is such a joy
  • @grayidk
The dog really has one of the coolest osts in calamity, also, I'm happy that you got to hear the nonstop mix, it connects the songs really well like it's telling a story/ epic battle of sorts.
  • @poyotato151
I've been waiting since the first calamity reaction for this video and I'm so glad it's here! Definitely my favorite songs in the whole soundtrack.
  • @anwd8646
Something really big here, is that most of the sprites you would have seen in these videos are inaccurate as they’ve almost all been completely remastered. Oh, and the Devourer is getting changed once again so it will have yet another resprite. God they’re pretty sprites. I do believe nonstop mix uses their updated sprites, though.
