  • "Stop laughing you freak, nobody else got the oscar because of what you did" "I know, isn't it beautiful"
  • I hope this is real, and isn't Arthur daydreaming again, because this is one of the best ways for Joker to be born, and Arthur killed.
  • "The whole city is on fire because of what you did" The cop is plain wrong. The reasons for the riots had nothing to do with Arthur, but stemmed from years, maybe generations of pent up frustration and anger among the lower class. Everyone in the city had had enough. Arthur just threw the first stone. He set them free.

This is honestly one of the best scenes in the film. Just look at how calm and care-free Arthur's face is. All his burdens, all his fears and frustrations of the world are lifted. He's a new man quite literally.

I cried throughout the whole movie. I felt for him, a lot. This movie is literally one of the saddest movies I've ever seen.
  • @podsmpsg1
You can't help but sympathize with him. He didn't start out evil, he was pushed into becoming evil by a broken system and messed up society.
  • @HwCollins
Irony. Now that we see the world starting to panic, this scene only increases in emotional impact.
  • @Ealsante
Joaquin really disappears into any role he plays, it's amazing.

0:15 you literally cannot tell that that’s Joaquin. Incredible.

I love how the camera angle seems to reference when he's hanging out the window while driving the cop car in The Dark Knight.

As children we praise heroes, As adults we understand villains

0:36 you can just hear the sheer pleasure that he feels in seeing the chaos. WHAT A PERFORMANCE!
  • “You either die a HERO , or live long enough to see yourself become the VILLIAIN”
