cloakwork ballet is my second season that im playing and i wanna say its fun im not even using the pets and i am playing the free hero called frost fire gemma XD i enjoy the game overall

I was one of the people that didnt play because of the "cartoony" look, and i finally decided to give it a fair try this season. And i absolutely love it. It's the second best arpg behind poe for me. Definitely beats last epoch currently. And the monetization is bad, but it doesn't really matter. It's just pets and you get slightly less currency in end game, but I'm just not a very fomo type person, so i don't really care. Btw to anyone who doesn't like the ui. They've started to create a real pc ui instead of the mobile one, and the first part being the inventory is already available. Just enable it in settings

People Complaining that this Game Is Predatory or SMH , have really no Idea . The Only Problem this Game has are Paid Characters and Quantity Pets , Other then That its One of the Best Current ARPGs . Link System , Good Skill Trees , And Cool / Blasty Builds . If People Actually would try the Game And give it some Time they would be Suprised How Good it Actually is . POE Players will feel Right At Home Playing this Game . Its like a More Relaxed Version of it . If you will .

Why is there a "but"? This has to be the second best ARPG out there right now. Nothing other than PoE 2 is going to compete with PoE, so that's quite the accomplishment. It's still much better in D4 when it comes to builds, systems, endgame, itemization, etc. And if you're someone who thinks PoE is too intimidating but you still want an ARPG with depth, then Torchlight is the best thing out there for someone like that. The pet monetization and its impact is vastly overblown. People act like they were going to top the leaderboard but they refuse to play because of the pets would take away their 1st place spot or something. Sorry, but not everyone who complains about a 10% improvement would have made the leaderboard anyway. Just pretend they don't exist and enjoy the game. They don't affect your fun at all. You can do absolutely everything in this game without buying pets. Just play the free characters, or get the battle pass if you want to try all the characters. Surely an APRG of this quality with this much support from the devs is worth a battle pass when the base game is free. Even Diablo 4 has the battle pass and paid cosmetics, and it's base game and expansion are full price. I'd argue Torchlight is much better than this.

I want to like this game, but the ui is just so ugly, and the monetization of heros and stuff when I played reallllly turned me off. Edit) 2:23 is that supposed to get me excited? That loot explosion is ridiculous and not in a good way. It looks like PoE with no loot filter.

Torchlight 2 was great. Torchlight 3 was a clunky mess. Torchlight Infinite is the death of a franchise. If any other franchise got bought by another studio and was converted to a mobile gacha you'd delete it. Why we're entertaining this slop in the current ARPG landscape boggles my mind. Why would you waste your time when you could be playing one of a half dozen other good ARPGS, some of which are f2p actual games instead of gacha cash grabs...

Meh, Torchlight peaked with Torchlight 2 when it was the main game filling the void left by Diablo. Unfortunately it fell off after TL2 when the main devs left the company (Runic at the time), tried to rebrand the next Torchlight game as an MMORPG that flopped hard, and now it's a cheap mobile gacha game that is ported to other platforms. A massive fall from its former glory and a big skip.

I appreciate the review, but cartoony F2P with horrible UI non-sense. No thanks. This is so far below LE, PoE and D4 it's not even worth mentioning. I'm willing to bet their season is going to be literally destroyed by LE Cycle 2 in 3 days...
