  • I have lived here in north west Georgia all my life. As a matter of fact my great great grandfather fought in that battle at Chickamauga on the confederate side. And I can tell you both me and my family have seen things here that just can't be explained. Great job on the story

I’m Georgia born and Georgia breed! I love this state! My 94 year old mother used to dance the jitterbug on the top of Pine Mountain (where the Appalachian Trail begins) by the rock building you described as a Gift shop I remember as a ranger back In the day. When looking off the mountain to the left is the rock building that you showed, is a parking. Right of the lot is a rather large large patio with a concrete floor and half rock wall around it. Back in the day there was a juke box were teenagers would go to jitterbug and roller skate, My beautiful mother used to roller skate and jitterbug there. She is quite a sweet lady! I loved to listen to her tales of the old days. The Corp of Engineers built log cabins on the property. When I was a kid we used to rent cabins next door to each other with some of our cousins on the lake. Great memories! Never knew it was haunted!

This guy is absolutely brilliant in making you feel your really there, his storytelling is something you either have or not and he definitely has it. Every night I listen to him without fail. Amy from England 🇬🇧

we really do have a lot going on down here in Georgia...Ghosts from Atlanta to Savannah...Bigfoot in the North mountains and southern swamps...lake monsters and our very own murder lake! Not going to lie...it's not a bad place to grow up! Great video as always!
  • I wanted to take a moment to appreciate and thank you for taking the time to enunciate your words, and pausing when punctuation dictates, as it makes all the difference when listening to a story.
  • @thetheropodguy
As a vertebrae paleontologist studying neotheropods, I am so happy that you said ‘pterosaurs’ instead of ‘Pterodactyl.’ You are definitely educated. Enjoyed the video.

I’m a life-long Ga resident. I lived in the south of the state for 40 years. There is a well-known, Bigfoot-like cryptid in the swamps of south Ga, known as the Wampus. My grandfather, a hardcore outdoorsman, talked of this creature often. Now, I’ve lived about 10 miles from Vogel and Blood Mountain for 19 years. I hike these areas regularly for work (I work with at-risk kids in an outdoor program) and recreation. There are mysteries in these mountains as well. In the summer of 2009, my wife and I heard what to us sounded like a great ape on a feeder trail to the AT going up Blood Mountain. It ended our hike. We turned around and headed back down to our Jeep, while something shadowed us, paralleling us, as we did. We couldn’t spot it. The bush was far too thick to see very far, as it always is at that time of year. It was the only time that I have been truly frightened in these mountain forests.
  • Your storytelling talents are reminiscent of the “Twilight Zone’s” Rod Serling from the 1960’s. Amazing.
  • @EmsLionheart
I can’t believe they even said that out loud “someone protecting their glory hole…in a Halloween costume” Lord give me strength
  • @PinkWytchBytch
Fun fact I actually live semi-near where Hogzilla was shot. I’m telling you there’s some really weird shit up here in the mountains. I also happen to have Cherokee in my blood (I think there’s Crow too but the Cherokee is for certain I’ve seen the family records of both sides having Cherokee great grandparents)
  • @fernwebb5568
I live on Cherokee land in WNC. I was fascinated to hear about the mounds and parks in GA.. There are mounds up here I think. I just read about them this afternoon and other Cherokee landmarks in Asheville. Then I find this video. What do you have? Cherokee mounds and landmarks. I also know about some of the battles between tribes. There was a huge battle at Brown mountain near linville. I would go up there to see the lights. I am watching this again and again, taking notes and looking deeper into all of it. I want to go to the mounds. Wow. Thanks. This is a super video and you are a really good story teller. Best yet.
  • @rheaeck6002
I have camped many times on blood mountain in cabins. Blood mountain got its name because the trees they cut from the mountain and used for the cabins and houses bled red sap. This made it look like blood was running down the walls. It is a beautiful place. There may have been some battles there a long time ago, but the name doesn’t have anything to do with any battles.

I wasn't born and raised in Georgia, it was my home though from 2011-2019 and i absolutely loved it. It's my biggest regret to date leaving, on my yearly travels to Ohio visiting family i made many stops. I always kept my eyes peeled to the roads and forests, i never saw anything unexplained. During one of the stops though during that time i clearly heard a loud roar. It was at a stop i made with my boxer for him to use the bathroom, the roar was maybe a couple hundred yards away. Being extremely into the topic of bigfoot since a young boy, i was very sure in what it was. My dog heard it also, looked in that direction and froze in his gaze after hearing it. I said ok boy it's time to go and we were gone, it was mid afternoon when it happened. I didn't have my phone with me as it was in the car, even if i had it though it wouldn't have been recorded. It was one roar, at least from what we stayed around to hear anyhow at the time. I had another encounter/sighting with my ex, we were coming home from an event. We ended up seeing a werewolf like creature eating something on the side of the road, it was in the lane opposite us. If my driver's window had been down and i stretched over i could've touched it, thankfully it wasn't because it was raining. I most definitely wasn't stopping for a better look and there was a car coming behind us too. It seems that car stopped though out of shock, we don't know what else happened as we kept going. This sighting was about an hour or so from Athens where we lived. Those are two of three unexplainaed encounters in my life, both in Georgia. The third was a spirit encounter i had in Cleveland,Ohio helping a friend move a family member.
