Them being home makes me think that this video was recorded during this pandemic.

Thank you so very much, I finally understood it. Need a ton of practice, but I can understand the theory. And you DO sound like Chewbacca.

Dammit, beaten in German 'r' pronouncination by a Wookie. That said, this was a helpful video. I couldn't understand how to say 'Frau' properly without this - or any other German 'r's, for that matter.

I keep hearing the "L" sound, or what I thought was the "L". So when making the "r" sound I started pulling my tongue back a little to the roof of my mouth which helped me to form the sound that I needed to make. If anyone is having issues with "R", that is what worked for me; try pulling your tongue back.

I think all the r in different languages of Europe are so difficult to pronounce... but it's good to know. And I like this video!

) I have actually asked my german teacher back in the gymnasium to explain this "r", cause she literally never have pronounced it aloud, even once... just kinda skipped it or stopped to explain it was ment to be there... sooo I have asked and that sweet lady told me and the rest of the class, that she don't get it right herself, so she will not spoil our first impression and ruin "the german "R" for us for life")))) Double thanks to you both for this vid!)

1:42 exactly what I think. I’m korean, we don’t have R sound either… I try my best but usually most of sound is more like GH, sometimes I’ll make that sound successfully… Just focus on how to increase the rate of success, not to be perfect like native.
