  • This is the Laura Kampf I initially discovered and fell in love with; refreshingly honest, down to earth, enthusiastic, brilliant, iconoclastic and forward thinking! Hooray for you! Sounds like a plan, and I'm here for the ride, as I have been for the past 8 or so years! Congratulations to you and your wife on the new little one and blessings and light to you and yours in the years ahead!
  • I kind of see this as a friendship. When your friend changes their interest or hobbies that doesn't mean you don't still love to hear them talk about what interests they have. So be the happiest version of you, and I will delight in watching it.
  • @YaaLFH
There are two kinds of people here: those who came for a specific topic like the house, and those who are here for the ride. The big difference is that the former come and go but the latter stay.

Bravo! I'm a 79 year old retired American psychologist and I applaud your thoughtful self analysis. Plenty of house shows. PLENTY. But only one LK. Gute fahrt!
  • I'm glad that you took the time to figure out what you need. The channel is a vehicle but you are the driver. There are many channels that build things, repair things, etc, you bring yourself and the dynamics and thought processes that you create. That's the critical component.
  • I will miss Felix. Felix and a Camera man in general was a great addition to the channel. Anyway happy to see more great small projects
  • I'm really happy for you Laura, and as someone who's made a really similar "back in time" move... you're going to enjoy it :)
  • As someone who creates myself, I can totally relate to "this is not what I want to do anymore". Create what moves you, and the audience will come.
  • I wound up here a while ago, through Simone, and fell in love with the vibes, and the way you tackle your ideas and solve problems in your life. Your creativity, resourcefulness, and unwavering devotion to aluminum boxes was always fun to see each week. I enjoyed the Lise Lotte era and I'll miss seeing everyone you've worked with on a regular basis, but I'm excited to see you put your stamp on sculpture making.
  • Oh Laura. Can't wait to see all your inspired new creations. You go girl and have fun and love with your family!
  • I love this. It reminds me of the bench Laura made for her favorite vista in Cologne. She is so good at that. Functional, meaningful art sculptures that tell a story and connect to a community. It takes a lot of introspection and courage to know yourself enough and recognize that's the direction you want to go in. Wishing you all the best of luck and looking forward to seeing whatever you decide to make!
  • Laura's aesthetic: plywood and aluminum boxes. New focus of sculpture and furniture = sculptiture! Can't wait!

I loved your channel pre house. The tragic condition of the house turned it into a project the size of which you could have never imagined ... it became an insatiable Audrey II constantly saying feed me, feed me! I'm happy for your chance to refocus and unleash the whimsy!
  • FURNISCULPTURE? Yes, I am down for this adventure. Also, there's nothing "immodest" about dreaming of an Art exhibit, especially when your projects ARE art. Love to Smudo, you, and your family!
  • I love how you try to reimagine and reuse discarded items. Your imagination is phenomenal and the fact that you can look at something and say “oh, I could use this, for this project.”
  • I'd like to make a suggestion for physical exhibit. Dedicate a wall to display cubes, maybe 12"x12". A 10' wall 12' long could have 120 of these cubes. Then open up to your audience to create sculptures for it. Guidelines: it has to fit in a 12x12x12 cube, be self contained, and do something. Call it the "Inspired by Kampf". It'll illustrate the impact of content creators on an audience not just who you taught.
  • Hi Laura, I came to your channel because of the house rebuild, but I am excited for the next chapter! Here to stay :)
  • This is one of my favorite channels, I remember what drew me in was the chill background music, the ingenuity and the aesthetics! Let Glue Dry!
  • I think an exhibition of items we've WATCHED you build in the videos would be a powerful experience. Just as you describe people's connection to the house or to your shop that they've seen so often in videos. I've been to exhibitions. I appreciate them. This is a whole other level of connectedness and I really love it!
  • When I heard you say "I want this to be nerd central" I found this huge smile on my face and joy in my heart. I am so looking forward to following you on this journey and learning with you. Thank you.
