Recent reports have indicated Christian Bale has been admitted into hospital with a severely injured back after carrying this entire movie
-
Went from Christian bale to atheist bale
-
Bale is the only actor that can turn a kids movie into some seriously hardcore acting scene.
-
"my daughter died... in your name..." good lord, christian bale was too good for this movie
-
The balls on Gorr to renounce his god right in front of him, no wonder why the sword chose him.
-
Christian Bale acting in this scene has more weight than entire MCU
-
It's tragic that they killed off Gorr so soon. They could've had an entire saga around Gorr that could've led into the multiverse saga. Gorr could have been the main villain for like 2 phases.
-
It is really shame how this movie started off with such a strong and dark, yet meaningful opening… only to fall flat on its face the moment the next scene started
-
Gorr’s motivation made perfect sense. But by the end of the movie he’s died and I guess our heroes didn’t learn anything
-
Every Thor villain was like "HaHa We are Evil!"(with the sorta exception of Loki). Then here comes Gorr...With a very justified Reason to kill gods.
-
In the comics, Gorr chooses to kill a god as soon as he sees one begging for help, because learning the gods are real makes him furious none of them ever helped. In this, the god is giving him every reason to kill him, making it way less impactful.
-
The way the sword just slowly moves and creeps its way to his hand in its scenes is so ominous.
-
Can't blame him. Imagine working overtime and sacrificing your health, family and personal happiness only to be given the pink slip by the boss.
-
It's scary how similar Gorr's story is to Kratos of God of War... But the former lost himself to vengeance while the latter found some semblance of peace and hope in his life.
-
Wish they kept this seriousness the entire film, it looks like a fire movie when you just see this scene
-
taking never meet your heroes to a whole new meaning
-
Gorr is the real protagonist of this film
-
Gorr was the best MCU villain next to Thanos. Villains that make you hate them or side with and understand them are always the greats
-
In this scene, Christian bale nearly dies of starvation and thirst and eats and drinks just as if he did. He intones a loving, devoted supplication to his God. He realizes said god is a rich douche who doesn't care about him, shattering his whole world in a second. He reaches down and pulls off his medallion and it's like the temperature of the room changes.

Funny, this is one of my favourite scenes from marvel. I wish the rest of the movie matched the tone of this. It had so much potential
