I'm so annoyed how this day turned out.. ridiculous! I need atleast a week to get over this.

Bravo Neuville for making no real silly mistakes & finishing second is phenomenal !! Keep the work up !

Fave part of the weekend was seeing the Dirtfish crew splash Neuville while driving past him and he called them "ze Dirty Fishes" 😂

Kalle's first off in Toyota in Jyväskylä saw the same emotional kid. But in that instance, it was his own fault for going wide and hitting a pile of gravel. That was a pre-champion young Kalle, someone who thought that he would storm to the scene in his first Rally Finland and easily win. Then it wasn't going as smoothly and he overdrove and ended up crashing and retiring. And to make things worse, he hurt his back but since he had to finish the rally as a precaution to the team points, he had to "sunday drive" the following two days at 50%. For Elfyn, this was really the rally he was supposed to start clawing back. I think that if (and when) Ogier drives the remaining rallies, that's effectively over for Evans. I actually expect Ogier to drive the rallies that Kalle was thinking of entering, so Kalle will probably to less rallies than he was planning on. For Evans, that means that the focus at Toyota is now on Ogier for the drivers' championship and while they will not say that Evans is there more for the manufacturers' points, the impact of suddenly having Seb on the team taking away your chances AGAIN will no doubt affect him emotionally. This was his year to finally win as Seb and Kalle was part-timing. It's going to be one exciting finish to the season, but Ogier is now the man to watch.

As Schumacher once said: to finish first, first you have to finish!

Thanks for a wild weekend coverage DirtFish 👍😎

Neuville is like Keke Rosberg back in the day during his championship year in F1. Just one win, with some bad luck from others and just sticking around while getting enough points.

That rock, as unfortunate as it was, made this rally legendary and for sure everyone is waiting for the next year already. Maybe that will be THE year.

I'm so gutted for Kalle... Man... 12 stage wins dominating the rally all the way to the finish & that rock... Man... That's why rallying is such a difficult sport..
  • The way Seb said something to the effect of "I have no choice now" regarding contesting the rest of the season....like it wasn't his plan all along. If he actually goes onto win the championship, what do you think the full timers, and especially Thierry are gonna think? I really don't think you should be elligible for a championship without comitting to a full season, to me it will set a precedent now where drivers will just not want to commit to full seasons because they know part timers will have it much easier. Maybe it's just me but this doesn't sit right, I think the FIA need to do something about it because I can guarantee we'll see drivers making a stink if this keeps happening.
  • I feel like the most brilliant athletes have all had their big L's, that have made them who they are in the end. I feel like this, for Kalle, is that one. (Also, how smart and well spoken Seb is. What a man!)

Why did no one remove the stone from the road? 🤔 It was a safety risk for all rally drivers and also for viewers
  • With the traditional point system, Ogier would only be 3 points behind Neuville.
  • Iam in mourning, I hope we aren’t going back to the days of sabotaging stages
  • @jarrod1766
Gotta stop saying Thierry is a fighter. He quit and threw a fit in Latvia
  • @charoleawood
6:57 Went there but didn't see an article about Ogier's sensible solution.
