The reason a lot of mains don't have a -X% (and some even have +15%!) is because the card you get offered mid-round is the same as the one you start with when you choose that main at the start of a run. To account for some mains being super easy to make (like salad) and others being hard (like dumplings) most have a built-in modifier to the customer account which is unfortunately reused if you get that card in addition to another main. IMO all mains should have one version of their card for use when starting a run and a different version that shows up mid-run, differing only in the customer modifier (and maybe the XP bonus). Salad is easy, yes, but if it's your second main then it shouldn't be coming with a +15% customer count!

  • Almost lost on Day 2! Wow they’re really not messing around with this turbo mode How did they get even closer to losing on day 3?
  • I bought this game because it looked super fun and something my brother would enjoy playing with me, but man do you guys make this game look easy, definitely was much tougher than it looked when I started off, humbled me, so I know this Turbo mode is crazy

Did you know that there is an exact distance between coolers and cooking stations? People had actually studied the ideal amount of space between the two so it takes the least amount of time to move between them
  • The reason some mains have a reduction and aome don't is bc mains like Burgers are easy and take no time to make so you atart off with more customers, where as pies take ages to make and so you have less customers. It's not perfectly balanced bc it doesn't account for the increased complexity that comes with offering different dishes but it's a carry over from when we used to just have one main at a time

2:50 Tbh, early on cooking speed is the thing that is overwhelming. Because queue just keeps growing. It's not even people inside the restaurant. That's why buying a lot of normal tables in the worst, because you can keep those 5-10 tables, as the access is pretty fast. And the cards actually keep the amount of groups really low with all the -15/-30%. But you do need some level of fast automation quickly, especially for stuff like pies - because if you get unlucky with getting starters and long desserts (which those Day 1 maps give) - you are kinda F'ed. But if you get lucky with only getting new mains - that kinda lets you push for really fast dining and have enough time to survive until you get some level of automation and upgraded tables. 14:15 Like you can see that you don't have issues with customers inside, but the queue is the thing that really kills it. I feel like this being released after Valentines map is really messing with people. Because those were opposite - long lasting queues that kept inside in check. 18:55 Also what I learned is that rerolls are often really good decision. Because you get all those upgraded appliances. 26:45 Throwing that Simple Cloth doesn't sound like a good decision - because that's extra table you can fit between other ones, until you get something better 27:20 How is that risking - that's genuinely working like a time out/coffee table. Because it will take one group extra in - that will act more slowly than the others. And it's a fifth table, so it keeps you more secure. 30:55 I mean higher queue patience, especially as those queues will keep your house's patience frozen? And extra money? 32:50 Removes thinking and can be stacked next to each other. 34:15 I think it may be also just from the new card mechanics. Because I think it works differently than the last time we had the +X game mode. 38:15 I mean... That's still two fish dishes vs three variants of toats. This is probably one of the better additions - I hope they will keep Turbo maps in the Snowglobe thingy, cause it does really fresh up the game.
