CORRECTION: Ancestral cry stats slightly wrong in vid - correct stats below: Max power: 30% ele res, +3% max ele res. With 100% effect: 60% ele res, +6% max ele res

My comment got deleted because I forgot that youtube doesn't allow links 😅 Anyway, I said about potential minion build on warchief with marohi and rallying cry, with all warcry buff nodes which in total would be around 135% hoping that helmet will have 10%. Then rallying cry buff actually still has 100% increased buff effect on minions, which means that minions get 84% of weapon damage added to them, 3% per 5 power turns into 7% with 135% buff effect, and into 14% with 100% buff effect on minions. Then, marohi with high roll will provide around 780-1160 added flat phys damage to minions or equalent of 30 ghastly jewels with t1 max roll flat phys, insane

There are 2 options for those using an eternal apple for automated warcries for exerted attacks/buffs as an alternative to autoexertion. Cheap: Use scold's bridle+replica fragility+small cluster enduring composure notable. Late game set up: Echoes of Creation+2 Min Endurance Charge rings+ small cluster enduring composure notable. If you get the "Warcries have a minimum of 10 Power" mastery, you'll get partial buffs during normal combat and you'll always have max power during boss fights.

I'd like to see some coverage on what the specific exerts do for each warcry as well!
  • @krusty_k
i can just imagine a more casual friendly life based chieftain armour stacker to be a pretty manageable build now. might look into that after league start when formless flame and replica dreamfeather become a bit more available.

Pity you didn't mention the warcry effect on allies and neither the total power counted from Roaring Challenge node nor mastery 'warcries have minimum of 10 power'. Since unique enemies grant 20 power and Roaring Challenge raises the bar from 25 to ~31 in case of Battlemage's cry, I suspect it will be 20+10 when against a boss. The ally buff aspect is pretty useful for Dominating Blow, as it gives up to 6% base crit chance to all Sentinels in range. That combined with Infernal Cry should make for some spicy Guardian starter.

The real problem I'm having with warcries is that they added this Autoexertion reservation support, but then stripped all the buffs from anything supported by it. It's only going to be useful for exerting attacks... which means that if you want to benefit from the buffs you still have to manually use warcries, or find a way to automate them (golden apple). It seems like they want Chieftain to be the ascendancy focused on the buffs, and Berzerker the one focused on the exertions, given how they've changed the ascendancies. However, the wording on Autoexertion makes me believe that you can still manually use other warcries, so perhaps there's a world where you automate some where you don't care about the buff as much, and then manually cast or otherwise trigger others where you do want the buff. The new Overexertion support makes Autoexertion very attractive for slam builds. It's a bit strange.
  • @locmorningstar2740
Remember to get warcry buff you have to self cast no automation here, so more warcry = more buttons to press.
  • Fantastic breakdown as always. Thanks for these great 3.25 vids.

Man i am not a scientist i just want to go bonkin and i hope this league is the good one for melee, i will wait one week and look at hcssf builds and copy one of them😅
  • @SS20x3
+5% flat crit seems super good, way easier to crit cap with less investment
  • @mastery7901
Im absolutely looking forward to the melee changes considering the hard time I had with Boneshatter at endgame a few leagues ago. I hope we see some really good melee builds that do not require insane budget/investment to get it to work.
  • @revoktorment440
Only see this being viable as in a 1 warcry in a regular build, a few in permanent minions build and full warcrys as a secondary aurabot in teams
  • @yongqijing3785
I made a rough pob, with chieftain and only passive tree, can easily get +105% warcry buff, and more than 10s buff duration and less than 4s cool down
  • without warcry automation it would be like playing the piano, and i think the warcry automation now reserves mana and doesnt give you its effects right?
  • @90DatteRo
The question now is – what's the best Eternal Apple tech to reliably proc socketed warcries and still benefit from endu charges?
  • @S3frog
What are your thoughts on The Eternal Apple? For example, as a chieftain, you could have seismic and ancestral cries socketed there. Then you could trigger these warcries by using enduring cry, endurances charges on kill or passive endurance generation (forbidden jewels and unflinching from the juggernaut). You are giving up on blocking altogether but it might be an alternative for RF chieftain, particularly at leaguestart.
