The DLR has two bases of operations - one at Beckton and another at Poplar. Geoff got to go down, put some PPE on and have a look around inside and see behind the scenes of the DLR.

Also, have a read about the DLR Ambassador scheme: tfl.gov.uk/modes/dlr/dlr-ambassadors

Missing All The Stations, however, nice to see Geoff back doing Londonist :-)

This is one of those videos that should last for 5 hours and cover every detail imaginable.

I remember when the Londonist was counting down the Top 10 least used stations in London. Welcome Back Geoff!

First! Also... why are these videos so addictive? And why are they torturing Scooby Doo at 0:49?
  • Not only am I glad that Geoff is back but I am also glad that the thumbnails have text on them.
  • Only been on the DLR twice... It's like a slow rollercoaster... Slightly scary when you get to the high parts but definitely something you have to do. You get to see all these strange nooks and crannies of London and The Thames... I'm pretty sure you'll see something new on every journey.
  • If you love the DLR then you should come visit Essen, Germany where the old DLR trains from the 90s are still running, unfortunately not in the original Red, Blue and White colours and not driverless anymore but i still admire them

Good to see you back in the saddle, Geoff! Very stylish hard hats - I hope TfL didn't spend too enormous an amount on them...
  • @ZLDSmogless
The DLR is my favourite train line in the whole entire world!
