I really wish they would call them wilderness reserves rather than “parks”. As children we grow up with the word “park” meaning something benevolent and fun. Park, Playground, Safe. You get the gist. This is the rugged wilderness and wild forest and it isn’t a “park”. People get overly confident and feel secure in what is misnomered “park”.

So sad but these tragic stories do need to be told this will hopefully let anyone know just how careful we all have to try to be.

Driving until you run out gas, repeatedly, isn't very wise. Most people get nervous when their gas gauge gets below a quarter tank.

All wildlife Wonder through the woods with their radar always on. Living every second like a predator is close by. People need to do same. When ur in the bush keep that head on a swivel. Look at everything like it could kill you

going to the wilderness is same as going to no mans land, anything is a fair game, even getting vanished.

Why do people have such a hard time admitting or considering mental illness? Ty was mentally ill..he sounds just like my friend's mom who was paranoid schizophrenic. Families should be able to admit these people to the mental hospital for treatment as they, at times, can become a danger to themselves, their families and to the public, ie mass shooters.

I believe some people go missing exploring parts of the forest off trail, maybe finding a cave go inside and become injured die of exposure,or just fall into an old mine shaft or sink whole, due to weather the tracking dogs cannot p/u sent. RIP to them

I don't get it how when they bring in dog teams that these people are not found these dogs are trained to do this and they are not finding them. That tells me that these people are either going up or down. That is the only way they not being found.

I think he was scared to death. No pun intended. I believe I Bigfoot. Olympic National is a park I visited four years ago, I wouldn’t hike into the area.
