SUPER SATISFYING paint & finish removal - Scraping/stripping - tool sounds

2022-06-23ć«å…±ęœ‰
This is the ONLY video I will ever make with just tool sounds. šŸ¤£ I don't normally include these sounds in my videos as it's not generally the type of video I want to create, and I have sensory issues and have to wear ear muffs often while working...BUT.. I do know that a lot of you DO enjoy them, and you've been asking for them!

I hope you enjoy this little ten minute video of some super satisfying finish and paint removal clips from several pieces I've worked on since starting my YouTube journey. All of these clips have full length videos- I will add them below. As always, thank you so much for watching! ā¤ļø

  • NOTE: This video isnā€™t going to appeal to everyone. I, myself, donā€™t care for tool sounds and often wear ear muffs when working, and itā€™s why I choose to leave them out of my main videos. BUT.. many people do enjoy them so this is my one and only work sounds video just for those folks. :-) UPDATE: I clearly should have just left the acronym ASMR out of the video because omg, some of the comments! Hahaha THIS IS WHAT RESTORING FURNITURE SOUNDS LIKE. Thereā€™s no way to sugar coat it. Sometimes itā€™s grating on the ear drums, and yep, stripper goo can be disgusting. Thatā€™s literally what this job is. I never expected so many people watching a furniture restoration video to be repulsed enough by actual furniture restoration to announce their departure from this channel. Clearly, this job or hobby isnā€™t for you. Lol Youā€™d have to listen to it daily for hours on end, like I do. Iā€™ve removed some of the nasty comments because I think these folks were definitely lost. šŸ˜‚

I don't know what's better; the sound of the scraping tool taking off the finish or the sight of all that old (latex?) paint coming off in sheets. Cool video!
  • @13lilfrogslvr
I wholeheartedly approve of this video. I have misophonia and weirdly enough, this soothed me lol
  • @joannesferrati3076
The sound of your tools makes it real! Beautiful work as usual. Never disappoint.
  • @bettybutterbean5759
Believe it or not you're one of only two furniture transformers that I can watch because the others have too much yak! I find your voice soothing and your accent a delight (as a non American šŸ¤£). I watched all of this because...nice but I like listening to your thinking and planning too. Your work is FAB! šŸ˜
  • @baruthfamily1713
This video brings me back when i solely used paint stripper . I love the look of real wood.each and every piece has a story through dents ,stains , burns. bringing life back to discarded furniture takes alot of time and patience . your work is amazing.
  • @claudiamiller7730
This was a strangely beautiful exercise in watching you perform your finely tuned skills. There are just soooo many furniture hacks out there using terrible procedures, poor form and overly rough treatment on the pieces they are trying to save. Not to mention being flat-out sloppy and rushed. You clearly have a gift and a deep love for rescuing furnitureā€¦I love that about your videos!
  • @kathyschenk1414
Thanks for the video! I LOVE those sounds! Especially the scraping! I know, itā€™s weird! But it means that work is getting done! I must say I do love your sense of humor! šŸ¤£
  • @nessavee2205
Well this is satisfying, frustrating(for you at times, I'm sure) and soothing all at the same time. Thank you for sharing this. This gives a small glimpse into the reality of how much work goes into what you do. You're the very best Angie!!! I watch and look forward to each and every one of your videos with such excitement! I've learned so much from you. Can't thank you enough!
  • @patriciamoody3137
Fun video to watch AND listen. If you wanted to do another one down the road, it wouldnā€™t hurt my feelings.
  • @petejohnson8590
Lol, it is a great video, seeing and hearing your video, makes this Grandpa happy, Iā€™m interacting with life again, I m house bound, love and ( greetings) from France šŸ‡«šŸ‡·šŸ™šŸ«¶šŸ«¶šŸ™ŒšŸ™ŒšŸ™Œā¤ļøšŸŒ·šŸŒ¹ thank you ,
  • @Charise389
Well, that was a satisfying and soothing way to start the dayšŸ˜ƒ
  • @MerryEileen
Well done! Consider a video featuring application of stains and oils. I particularly like to see the richness of the wood grain appear when Odies (sp?) oil is applied. The audio might be music.
  • @robynduplooy3039
Oh yes!!! Exactly what I needed to lift my spirits! Thanks for making this compilation!!!
  • @maryharris2485
I don't necessarily enjoy the sound of tools either but it's you so I HAD to watch. I will say it's much more relaxing when you're not the one holding the putty knife LOL. And at 9:10 oh man that wood was gorgeous I kept rewinding back to that point it was so pretty thanks for the video
  • @adrianatorres9644
I love it! Scraping and stripping are my favorites! Thank you so much for this.
  • @pattylevasseur4041
for every scrap dry/wet....is a resurfacing of the past that was once hidden....and a piece with stories and history thats allowed to breath and shine once again , i find this soothing and exciting to see whats underneath.. thank you angie...
