0:40 through 1:00 If you find yourself downplaying the greatness of BARRY SANDERS, it's time to reassess your life.
  • Yeah in 94 Green Bay played 9 in the box and basically dared the Lions to throw the ball. Can't really hate on Barry for that.

From 1989 to 1997, Barry straight BALLED every season. I wish he joined the Dolphins in the mid 90s before re-committing to Detroit - him and Marino would've been spectacular!
  • Best rb period. I couldn't wait to watch him play. He was a humble person not arrogant. Great person as well
  • The blasphemy to say he shouldn't be first because he didn't win and had the misfortune of playing for a dysfunctional organization his entire career, if anything that amplifies his achievements. Not to mention Detroit were a relatively consistent play off team in the 90s which was much to do with him
  • they keep saying Barry didn't win anything. hell those Detroit Lion team sucked his whole career and he still managed to get almost 1500 yd a season if he would have played for the Dallas Cowboys in the 90s with that great All Pro offensive line and team he could have had 2000 yards every year that's all great he was
  • It's not his fault his team sucked. He is the GOAT of Heisman winners.
  • The one RB who made me hold my breath from the moment he touched the ball until he was down and the whistle was blowing...such a scary back to watch, and I had to deal with watching him against my team 2 times a year.

Barry Sanders is THE top 10 monster picking up so many #1s we couldn't even bother counting
  • The Best to ever do it... I once heard him say he would have to turn off his brain and just react.. thats what makes him great
  • Barry Sanders was a beast I watched this man do things no possible unless you are Barry!!! If he played longer !?!?!?
  • I'm going to be honest,These are some of my most favorite ever,I wrote down there names,Numbers,And colleges to put them in NCAA 14
  • Random Writer: "He isn't a great player, because he didn't win a championship" Me: So, championships are won by teams and the main offensive weapons of the Lions in those days were Sanders and Sanders alone. And based on your logic, the Patriots equipment manager is more valuable than Sanders, Dickerson, Simpson, Butkus, and Moss combined. Sanders put up huge numbers on some otherwise mediocre Lions teams. Give him Emmitt Smith's offensive line and and quarterback and he puts up numbers that would make Jim Brown jealous.
