  • Your face expressions was priceless! Round two.. Nope not gonna happen. LMBO.. Mighty fine pumpkins and squash you grew there Mrs. Jenna. Thanks for the information and for the taste test. Stay safe and warm up there! Hope ya have a wonderful rest of the week!
  • Fairytale/Musque de Provence made the best pies I've ever had. I'm also a sucker for a traditional blue Hubbard
  • Thankyou so much for this video. We love squash and the different varieties and I was curious about the flavors. I really enjoyed your facial expressions! That in itself tells the taste story.

I grow pumpkins mostly for my goats and pig pets as a treat through the cold months. I do bake some to save for winter baking, but when I gave the last pumpkin this month it was the longest into colder months I have had some to share ever. My husband actually built an autumn garden to grow even more in 2021.
  • We wound love to grow some of your grandma Bensman’s pumpkins. We are a zone 5 but most pumpkins do great here.
  • @oscarchica5566
Very cool video! My favourite all-time winter squash flavour-wise was ''Golden Nugget Bush''. Dense, velvety, delicious flesh!
  • @albedo0.392
I REALLY APRECIATE YOUR OPINION...THANK YOU FOR YOUR JOB
  • 0:13 second in and I learned something. Did not know before now that curing squash impacts flavor. Thanks!
  • @Kalexanda
Thanks for the video! I would love to buy some of Grandma Benson’s pumpkin seeds if you have any extra! 🧑🧑
  • We love the Long island Cheese pumpkin. We use for sweet and savory dishes. We pressure canned cubes in quart jars.We are in Zone 6 near Piiisburgh PA

Are you up for sharing grandma's pumpkin seeds? I'd love to give it a grow.
  • @millicentrowan
Wow! I'll have to try out a Japanese pumpkin, and I'll keep an eye out for that specific variety. Thank you.
  • @breehenson1316
Love it! My favorite is Sibley squash, but I may have to try some of these. Thanks.
  • @donbirkholz6842
My favorite is Buttercup in its prime, which is rare. I really like the Delicata, but flavor varies from year to year. I grew the North Georgia Candy Roaster last year for pies and I really like it.
  • Our go to winter squash is Golden Delicious, some call it Golden Hubbard. My Italian dad and the Italians where I live always refered to it as Golden Delicious. We give away about 50 per year. But, in 2021 I bought the seeds to plant Boston Yarrow which the Delicious is part of, the other half being Green Hubbard. I also bought Red Kuri seeds to plant. I can't wait to see how they turn out. I grow way more than we need. One year we had about 800 plants in our front yard. We kept 4 Delicious and gave away the rest to our neighbors and their families. It is so much fun to do that! I encourage all to do that. Take care, stay safe! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family!
  • Great to see a squash tasting video! You convinced me earlier this year to try the baby butternut and for a pumpkin I chose rouge vif d'etampes! Still looking for my favorites.. intrigued by Japanese pumpkins and Japanese plant breeding in general.. unique.
