The last one to born, yet the first one to die
The shortest screen time, yet capture the most Hearts
The last sin to be introduced and the first sin to bid farewell

Rip escanor u will never be forgotten

The fact that Escanor used his own name for his strongest weapon is simultaneously the most comically arrogant and badass thing ever

no matter how bad the anime became towards the end, Escanor will be remembered as one of the most badass characters of all time!

This is the most prideful line I've ever heard in all of fiction

I love the interaction between Escanor and Estarossa. With everyone else hating him cause he killed Meliodas and thus being made useless from his commandment, Escanor just walks up and says he pities him. Escanor doesn't hate him for killing Meliodas, he pities Estarorssa for being unlucky enough to have made an enemy out of the strongest of all races.

Escanor is and always will be the very definition of badass.

Escanor's most badass moment for me was the first encounter with Estarossa. While everyone was effected by Estarossa's cursed power which paralyzes anyone who bears any resentment against him, Escanor isn't affected and just walks up to him and says, "why should I resent someone so much weaker than me?"

I love how he’s always flabbergasted the second an enemy powers up, because anybody thinking they stand a chance at competing with him is the most ridiculous thing he can imagine

The most badass thing about escanor is that he isn't acting being prideful he is prideful.

I just love the fact escanor is both the strongest and the weakest of the 7 deadly sins depending on the time of day.

This is simple but yet so badass, of course all his lines are Epic, but this one hits different for some reason.

The fact that he named his ultimate move with his own name, divine sword Escanor, that's really picturing the sin of pride

Escanor is OP done right IMHO and I loved how he looked like he was going to just destroy that pie only to pick up a perfectly cut slice.

You know he's great when Netflix themselves makes a compilation of him

For many of us, Escanor has carried the series all by itself. WE WATCHED FOR HIM. When he left, there was no humor left. We watched and completed the series just for the sake of previous memories. Escanor was the one who defeated 6 of the 10 Commandments, defeating the Demon king. I think his was the most enjoyable battles. HE SHOWED WHAT IT IS TO OVERCOME BY CRUSHING WITH A SUPERIOR POWER. And it carried Sunshine even better than MAEL. By combining his heart and courage with Sunshine, he even defeated the demon king. ESCANOR YOU WERE THE REASON FOR WATCHING THIS SERIES.

Escanor is the peak of what this author was able to produce. By far.

There's not much talk about wimpy Escanor. I think without him, we wouldn't love strong Escanor. 4:07 is easily one of his best moments, and my favorite soliloquy. I think this is where we can see clearly how important is Merlin for him. Despite his over confident personality and superb appearance in his battle mode, he just feel unworthy to be seen as a man by her and he knows she doesn't feel anything for him. She is his sun, unreachable but warm, he doesn't need nor aim for anything else than being near her.

Edit: Great performance by Sugita Tomokazu, btw. The way his voice gets deeper as he transforms is sublime.
