Shannon Sharpe asks Magic Johnson to express his thoughts on LeBron James as LeBron approaches Magic's Johnson's placement on the all-time assist list. Magic said: “At the end of the day to pass two Lakers while being a Laker: Me in assists and Kareem as the all-time leading scorer…WOW you’ve got to give it to him!”

I always tell people that’s the beauty of Lebron. He’s the ultimate utility knife … oh you don’t have a pg? Don’t worry I’ll run the floor and get you assists.. oh you need a person to get rebounds? I’ll do it … oh you need somebody to guard 1-4? I’ll do it…. Oh you need somebody to score 25 plus every night ….don’t worry about it lol…Nobody has been like this in basketball …

Magic Johnson all past nba players should be like him respecting LeBron James what he has achieved

It ain't to many people that can make Shannon look small like Magic do.
  • "The great thing about LeBron, he brings it every single night for 20 years" 💯

Magic is great because he appreciates every era.

I used to hate on LeBron until Jordan/Kobe supporters unecessarily criticize him over every little thing that he does. People really knock on James for having a losing finals record and hate the man so much that some think it's better to lose in the playoffs than on the biggest stage in the NBA that being the Finals.
  • I always tell people that's the beauty of LeBron. He's the ultimate Swiss army knife he can rebound, assist, steal the ball, defend, facilitate and score

LeShannon: you ever started 0-4? Magic: absolutely not
  • What a great career LeBron has had. He’s a top 3 player of all time.
  • So refreshing to hear the best whoop ever played at pg to describe his career. Lebron is my goat

Countless other players played 20+ years. there isnt even anyone with a 10k 10k 10k record. If its just longevity then the list of 40k 10k 10k would have more than 1 name... but it doesnt.

I have been watching the NBA since the 70s, and I watched Kareem in his prime and watched Jordan at North Carolina and then with the Bulls. But after watching LeBron James play for 20 seasons, I have to say that we are all witnesses to greatest player the game has ever seen. I know it hasn't quite soaked in for everyone yet, and many are still in denial, because the media likes to hate on him, but those people will come around after his career is over. There will never be another LeBron James, it is as if someone took the ingredients to build the perfect player, they took the athleticism of Michael Jordan, the vision and passing ability of Magic Johnson and rolled it up into the body of Karl Malone. Just think LeBron James is left handed but he shoots the ball with right hand, he can shoot with his left hand too, but he prefers to use his right hand to shoot. He can drive with either hand, and finish with either hand. This guy is very very talented. Jordan had 866 consecutive double figure games, and most people thought that wouldn't be broken, but LeBron broke that record several years ago and now has more than 1,070 consecutive double figure games. A lot of people thought Kareem's scoring record would never be broken, but LeBron is on the verge of breaking that record this season. I know he doesn't have much time left in the game, because of his age, but I am going to enjoy watching him play for what little time he has left, knowing that I am watching the greatest to ever play the sport.
