Hey Muta. I hope you see this comment. Here in Iran we're facing one of the most strict internet censorships of the current times. Instagram, Whatsapp, Twitter, and even YouTube (yes, I'm using a VPN right now), are all blocked by the government. Usually there's always a free VPN that works for some time, and then gets found out by the government and their addresses get blocked. Oracle needs a working CC to identify you, but here in Iran we do not have access to any services that provides us with a globally accepted CC. Is there any way to consistently get around internet censorship here in Iran (for free)? It's fine if the IP isn't masked. I would really appreciate a comment on this, or even better, a video for the people around the world facing internet censorship in third world countries. Best regards, and thank you in advance.
  • I understood nothing, im just here because i appreciate Muta's genuine honesty.

Thank you for making the disclaimer that there are far better VPNs for privacy than those that are heavily pushed on social media or one you could self-host. You're a real one for that Mutah, it's important we always provide people with accurate information so they don't end up with bad OpSec.

For anyone wondering if you can't find the shape for the instance. It means its not available in your region. As for changing region, you have to pay.

I appreciate this video very much! MentalOutlaw is one of the few Youtubers whose opinion on VPN services I can agree with. Two more things about VPNs and encryption. 1. If you did not create the keys yourself, they do not belong to you. 2. It's hard for me to imagine that NORDVPN and Netflix don't have some secret deal. I know how sophisticated Netflix's geo-restriction checks are. They check your latency, hops, DNS, network, and whether your IP belongs to a data center where you might be hosting. They could easily prevent any NordVPN user from viewing geographically restricted content. I bet there's a lot of money involved.

You HAVE to select US East (Ashburn) or US West (Phoenix) if you want to be able to do this. Unfortunately found out the hard way trying to select Chicago and you can't change regions.

Eventually Muta is gonna make his own operating system and challenge Microsoft to a battle of death

Sorry Muta, I want to watch your video but I just cant stop playing RAID Shadow Legends securely with NordVPN whilst shaving my pubic hair with the latest Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0. I bet it was really good though.

I can't wait for Muta to release a tutorial for pretty much every aspect of personal computer security and operations. It was his videos on Linux that drew me in, personally.
  • @souptaels
Ah yes, I love getting an ad about men shaving their balls on a video about VPNs. Thanks Muta
  • @Lyiad
This was an excellent demo for setting up a DIY VPN, thanks Muta!
