You are a gem of an educator Sophie! The value you bring to the community, the whole creator community is tremendous!

I'm an animator, and one of my big focuses with GP is reducing pencil mileage while still retaining a hand-drawn look. Obvious we're using very different techniques, but seeing someone else doing experiments on what can be achieved with the least amount of lines is super gratifying, and your results speak so highly to the level of craft you're bringing to your work. Really cool stuff!

it's good to challenge yourself and change up the way you do things to become more aware of how much you need or don't need in getting better and more economic with your tools

I'm Trying to do a Halloween Project! You are so talented! Can you do a tutorial on how to make a pencil (or any object) draw something onto a flat surface? Kind of like an invisible ghost writing onto a piece of paper with a pen? My best guess is to have a curve-path to be the shape of the drawing. Have the 'pen' object follow the path. As the pencil moves, the tip of the pen leaves a trail of "ink" behind on the flat surface. Now, this ink trail can be visible ink, or be used as a "normal" for engraving, or emit a glow or whatever. Also, It would be cool the have the ink trail disappear on a delay as the pen writes. A spooky effect. Or even used as a hot glow for a cutting torch on metal and it cools down (delay effect). Thanks :)

Reminds when an instructor would have the class warm up with under 30 second drawings, then start a 30 minute drawing to have us stop after a minute to see if the drawings match up to the 30 second. Inspiring to see you analyze your work flow.

You are unique, no doubt, however I have a question, why do you use a greyscale window?
  • @DarrenFairchild
What do you do for background in blender and also how do you make your brushes appears so solid whenever they are set to gradient mine always appear too transparent to show up great..
