Phil Colin's autobiography "Not Dead Yet " is an excellent book. If you are interested in him at all read the book. He is actually a very wise-witty and humble human being.

Phil: "Why is she in a box?" 🤣🤣🤣 With the coolest English swag 😎

Like him or loathe him, he’s actually an extremely talented drummer. Even music snobs respect him for that

"If you knew what it was you wouldn't be talking about it in such flippant terms." Handled like a boss, I had to rewind that part a few times.

This was prime Howard and Robin. And Phil handled this about as good as he could have. That being said, letting him actually complete a sentence before talking over him would also have been an OK thing to do.

Really enjoyed that. Howard is just Howard and I got the feeling Phil knew what he was letting himself in for. He took it in his stride when (understandably) many others would have been exasperated by Howard's patter. Stern reminds of the very naughty schoolboy you begin by being pissed of with but cannot end up but liking in the end. Robyn is great here too. She's the one who gets Howard when no one else can. Very impressed by Phil's musicianship down the years. One of the best drummers ever. And major cudos to him for mentioning Paul Brady (and John Martyin of course). Great musicians know other great musicians when the hear them.

This shows how much Stern has grown in his interviews. He literally wouldn’t even let the guests finish a thought. While he still does this at times, he’s better.

Phil Collins telling off Paul McCartney solidified my fandom of Phil
  • Voice remarkable, Phil THE BEST in this world. Fabulous singer, drummer, musician, songwriter and actor.

Despite the douchery of Stern during this entire interview, which I imagine to be quite challenging, Phil handled this like a gentleman despite it all. One of these men has more class than the other.
  • At least Howard made Phil laugh when he said that he moved to Switzerland so Eric Clapton won’t steal his wife! 🤣🤣🤣

This was over the top pre-sattelite Howard, at his most obnoxious, full of confidence...and full of crap. Phil handled this about as well as he could have...without creating a problem. I bet ya anything when Howard was bagging on Peter Gabriel, Phil would have loved to put a stop to that. He is good friends with Peter Gabriel. They have always been good.
