Technical Glitches Disrupt Airlines, Banks and Global Businesses

An unusual cascade of technical failures have erupted from the US to Asia after Microsoft reported an outage across its online services. Amongst systems affected are those at the London Stock Exchange where the slowdown is preventing news from being published. Airlines are also dealing with complications, the Federal Aviation Authority says Delta Airlines and United airlines have scrapped all flights. In Asia, Japanese users began reporting glitches with services including Microsoft 365 — the company’s internet-based office software suite — in the afternoon. Airlines at Mumbai and Hong Kong airports reverted to manually checking in passengers.
