How about a tutorial showing how this llama was made? Awesome and extremely useful tutorial once again!

Slicers are pretty powerfull. Please use them for creating the Support. If there is to much support, you can change the angle.

Hello. I come to 3d from traditional art training. Started in digital in the nineties ,3d soon after,. bought max in 2001:,, ,, mistake, as an individual,, . Cracked versions, , as we do. Blender is now what I use. I'd just like to say, young man, that you are contributing greatly to the community. Your videos are filled with a lot of collateral learning for people who are new to 3d. You introduce material in context. Your manner is open -- and giving. Great teaching. Great work. Great example for others.

Thank you for making this video! I've been wanting get into 3D printing, but was hesitant to throw money at something I have zero experience in. I had actually decided beforehand to purchase the printer you were demonstrating with, and then I saw you were using it--that definitely helped ease my decision to make the plunge! Thanks again!

To make a mesh like yours water-tight, I suggest retopologizing the more complex mesh. Especially in Blender, it would be quite easy.

Omg lol I literally bought my first 3D printer 1 - 2 mins before this video was released

7:47 "So I wanted it to be around 100 millimeters high which comes out around to just 2 to 3 inches" or... you know... 10 centimeters exactly ;)
  • @megamaster7667
You can triangulate the mesh automatically when exporting it
  • Awesome video, and was a great surprise to hear the South African song once the llama was printed! Love from Eli
  • Just got a resin printer. I appreciate your video. I can’t wait to make myself into an action figure.
  • The way i usually add the lose parts together is by first doing a boolean operation and then sculting with dyntopo enabled

Question - with that rough cruddy finish, would increasing the edge geometry reduce that ?
  • Nice model, I'm interested in the finishing process now. What do you paint it with?
  • can't get over his shirt ...Still the best 3D printing video for Blender users I have found, so thanks!
  • The model should be hollow with some thickness as it will reduce time and save filament. Isn't it?

Good thing is 3D printing addon for Blender. Not sure if 2.8 Beta is supported, but 2.79 works very well and saves a lot of pain with making the mesh manifold.
