I was on the fence between this and a RadRover. I’m 6/4 280. Bad knees. Your video was extremely helpful to me. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, I'm so glad you like your Aventon Aventure.2. I like mine too, I've had it for just over a week. I really like the color of your bike too, I also like the fact that you have the step through. I think it is something that I'll really enjoy.

Thanks !! I’m a big guy myself looking to buy this exact bike , your review is extremely helpful !! I too was going to by a Lectric bike but when I saw this bike the other day I’ve fallen in love with it ! It totally looks like it could handle me better !! Thanks buddy !

The same thing happened to me. I had a commuter ebike for the last two years and put maybe 50 miles on it, tops. I kept meaning to ride it more to get moving and get exercise, but I didn't enjoy ridning it, despite the fact that it is a really nice bike. I finally remembered that when I was riding regular bikes I went though a couple of regular street bikes before I realised that what I needed was a bigger, more plush ride. So I wound up with a full suspension mountain bike. I raised the handlebar profile, and that was it. I rode that thing for years because it was comfortable. So I applied the same logic and bought an Aventure.2 for a more upright and plush ride. I couldn't be happier. Within about 5 minutes it felt like I'd been riding it my whole life. A great bike for us big guys.
  • I had my Aventon Aventure 2 for a month. I burned the motor up on an 8 mile steep hill climb at the 3000 foot elevation level in the mountains. My friend’s $600 250 watt Walmart e-bike out climbed mine on the steep hill. I took my bike back to the bike shop where I bought it and the mechanic said that I needed a new hub motor. In the meantime I’m grounded until the new hub motor comes in. All the endurance tests I’ve seen on You Tube for Aventon have been on short courses. Somebody needs to post a video of an 8 mile steep hill climb like I did.

I bought my Aventon Level 1st generation a few weeks ago. in the first 2 weeks I have already put 290 miles on it. Aventon is a game changer. i love opening it up to 31.69 mph. its a breeze, have fun kiddos.

Really enjoy my bike as well. I have the exact same model as you. Nice to be riding around again even with bad firefighter knees.

The torque sensors are awesome. Im a big guy as well, and i swear the torque sensor makes it feel the same way it did to ride a bike when I was 10 before my growth spurt. It just feels almost like you are moving it, not that its moving.

I have had my Aventon for six months. No complaints. Just want to upgrade to a new ebike. I have come across the Addmotor M160, which seems to have better batteries and motor.

I've had a Black Lectric XP 2.0, a Black Rad Mini, an Orange KBO Breeze a Black Lectric XP Premium Mid Drive and now an Aventon Aventure with Torque Sensor and Torque Sensors are the very best for me.
  • I'm a bigger guy myself (6'3 @ 280) and was deciding between this and the XPremium. I've decided on the Aventure.2 because of the quality and form factor
  • I just ordered a step through gen one model… it’s my first ebike and Hopefully I enjoy it as much as you do yours. Ordered it from the website for $1499.

Thanks for talking about the Av2. I’m looking for a different ebike for my wife and this is a contender. If you are looking for a very comfortable cruiser seat that is also built strong for us big guys, get a Worksman Comfort seat. It’s big and comfortable. But also the structural components are metal not plastic! Holds up to big guys weight. I own two for my e-bikes.

Great Review Sir! I just bought the same bike, and would like to ask you what Wh battery came with your bike? Mine came with a 678Wh battery instead of the advertised 720Wh battery I expected?! Thanks!

I'm looking at ordering one soon as well. Glad you are liking yours and I appreciate your input and opinion on the bike. I'm of similar stature as you and have been trying to decide on the frame size. Is the model you ordered the regular or large model?
  • @esthers5772
Makes sense for you to get a bigger bike. Enjoy. Many of us with vans buy the folding bikes, but then put them on the back on a rack.

Hi, nice review. I was wondering what kind of range you’re getting?
