  • the fact that FIFA are the good guys here is really a testament to how messed up this situation is

It's terrifying that a woman can get assaulted ON CAMERA, and yet people will still believe and support the man who did it.
  • @PumaArg
I want to add something: this kiss doesn't need to be traumatic to be wrong. Even if she isn't traumatized by it, he still had no rights to do that to her and it was beyond unprofessional, and she's in her right to complain, no matter how hard it was for her

To the men and women who are saying " but she was laughing later" , i was 13 years old when I was going to my friend's birthday party with my mom when i was SA'd by a complete stranger on the street. Other men on the street acted like i was lying. I was heart broken. But i went to the party and laughed and and smiled and danced, basically enjoyed myself to the fullest. I'm 30 now. Its been 17 years and I still haven't forgotten the feeling. I curl up into a ball all by myself every time i remember, knowing full well that no one will understand. That's how deep a SA wound can be for the victims. So please just don't
  • @LoFoSho
Dude! I am so tired of the victim having to be a perfect little princess in order to be validated. It’s gross. You nailed it!
  • @HurricaneDDragon
The ACTUAL “false feminism” is claiming you support women while applauding a woman’s abuser, Coach. 🙄
  • @FemmiFatale
Small correction. Every MAN in that room clapped. The 4 women in the front absolutely did not clap. They sat their looking around at all their male colleagues in pure bewilderment.
  • @lalamyne
Just a couple of weeks ago a girl has been r*ped by SEVEN awful guys here in Italy and the whole situation is even more baffling because people are sending thoughts and prayers to the perpetrators on TikTok and IG and the judge said they were innocent of the crime because "the didn't understand she didn't give them consent". Yep. They punched her, kicked her, insulted her, she was hurting, bleeding, passing out multiple times, and that's apparently what consent looks like. One of the guys commented on this saying it was almost digusting and they looked like "1000 dogs on a kitten". Apparently they were also planning their "revenge" as a punishment for reporting them to the authorities. The mother of one of the guys commented saying she kinda got what she deserved for basically being a wh*re.

As a Spanish woman, you cannot understand how disappointing was passing from complete euphoria and proud for our soccer team to complete disgust and embarrassment of how the sexism ("machismo" in Spanish) is still present and prevalent in soccer.
  • @ladygaygay94
The fact that he’s trying to sue her for speaking up about this disgusting situation is so horrifying. The man was caught ON CAMERA and still claimed she was lying. Truly an evil vile pig
  • @PopChanx
And you can BET that if Jeni threw a fit or was visibly upset, either in the imediate aftermath of the kiss or later on, people would complain about it, saying she's making something out of nothing. There's never a good reaction for a victim to have: they'll always be judged more than their own harasser/ab*ser.
  • @tcscgirl12
One clarifying note: The first "statement" by Jenni saying it was 'just a natural gesture of gratitude' she has fully denied ever saying – RFEF almost certainly falsified it after attempts to pressure her (AND HER FAMILY) into denying he did anything wrong failed. I still agree with the point you made (that people's kneejerk reaction to trauma is often to cover for the abuser and even if she DID say this her point wouldn't be less valid) but it's important to know that that wasn't even the case. She has not faltered from her initial reaction in the locker room. The coach is a whole other bag of worms – multiple top level players refused to play in this world cup for him because he himself has a history of abuse.

people “not believing” what happened when it was on camera and captured at several different angles makes my blood boil. most of us are never taken seriously but when there’s irrefutable proof and people still choose to be on the side of the assailant… just disgusting.
  • @Riaah_love
As a female soccer player, I’m not surprised this happened and I’m even less surprised that people are excusing the behavior. I’m only a high school level player but ever since I’ve started playing I’ve noticed how vile men’s soccer fans can be towards women and girls, the things me and my fellow players have heard on the field from our own teammates on the boys team is shocking. It’s unfair that we have to deal with these things and they get swept under the rug
  • @ryntintynvin
Fake feminism is when people say horrible, misogynistic garbage and then say, “And before you come for me, I’m a feminist!” So he’s the closest thing to fake feminism in this story…so technically he’s blaming himself…so he’s right 🤯😂
  • @iFapkin
Love how the clip where he's chanting "I will not resign" pans to the crowd and a massively overwhelming majority of the people within said crowd are men... And of the less than half-dozen women who are there, only two are clapping, while almost all of the men are clapping and smiling and listening intently to what he's saying. The women are either clapping and looking incredibly uncomfortable, or they're staring deadpan at him, or they're looking down at their laps or phones and not even making any sort of eye contact with him. Just goes to show that high-power men will often defend other high-power men, even against the most deplorable acts imaginable.
  • @CrazyGoth631
It’s so disgusting men can literally sexually assault women in front of millions and have the whole thing filmed then turn around say she’s lied and he’s going to sue her for speaking up. Then room of creeps applaud…
  • @maddil394
We need more rant videos from you. This is the content the people want.

On the "perfect victim" note: I think it's also important to realize there's a BIG difference in her being asked by media about the situation after the "apology", and her talking in a union statement. Once she knew her union, her team, and many other players believed her and we're willing to back her, she wouldve felt like any more comfortable telling the truth, knowing she'd be protected from retribution
