Hi Nice video, can you make a video for screen replasment? The shop in Norway try to trick the costumers by saying that it is not posible to change the metal casing only. I think they are trying to be like Apple genious bar.

Hey, I lost some screws on my MateBook X Pro, would you please send me a link where I might be able to purchase some replacement screws (Chassis)? Thank you.

I opened up my laptop and started the process. It seemed very daunting. I hope I can find a reputable mod shop that can do this for me

Brad, on your website, you say to use .5mm for the pcb and to leave the mounts empty. But in the video you’re saying to use 1mm for the pcb and .5 for the mounts?

Hey man i spilt some Pepsi on my keyboard and I've got two sticky keys is it possible to pop out the keys and clean them without having to take it all apart

Do you think that doing the 0.5mm parts that go on the brackets first, then peeling that off carefully, then doing the 1mm pad would be easier than doing the 1mm pad first and having to peel it all back off to do the .5mm? After carving all the 1mm shapes out, it was difficult to peel it back off without tearing.

what did you use to cut the thermal pads with?
  • @indiawest2025
Does the thermal pad damage the board or soak in moisture ?

I just turn on my air conditioning and my laptop never throttles. this seems like a waste of time if you have air conditioning. LOL

Increased heat capacity, but reduced ventilation. On long loads, there will be overheating. The author is stupid! Spoiled a great laptop :-(
