I've been following your lessons lately and I'm so addicted to these. My listening is quite good but I have a problem while speaking. What happens is that I talk very fast in my native language (I actually speak three regional languages fluently) ,but I fumble while speaking in English due to this habit and one more thing i can not follow up with your accent ,it is fine with individual words but while speaking sentences I lose it all. So how do I improve my pronunciation and fluency at the same time?

To memorize the script: I’ve just come back from a trip to Portugal! Lisbon, actually. (It) was a bit of a last-minute decision. My friend was attending a conference there and she convinced me to tag along! I don’t usually make spontaneous decisions like that but it all just happened at the right time. Actually didn’t know that much about Lisbon before I went. Have you been? I had no idea what an incredible city it is! And oh my god, the food! I ate so many pastéis de nata, I thought I was going to burst! The city is full of beautiful cobblestone streets. I spent so much time just wandering around in the sunshine, you know? Winding my way through historic neighbourhoods. Actually, one of the coolest things we did was jump in a Tuk-tuk with a guide. We went up this steep hill and had an amazing view over the city. You know what a Tuk-tuk is, right? It’s like a little motorbike with a cabin on the back where you can sit. It was a really fun way to get around and easier than walking because oh my god, it was so hot! And our guide, her name was Paula, she grew up in Lisbon and she was just a wealth of knowledge. She was full of stories about her childhood and about the history of the city. She took us to cool little back streets and, you know, we explored some amazing street art. There’s just no way that we would have found all of those hidden gems ourselves. I really wish we could have stayed longer! (I) definitely, want to go back there one day. What about you, have you got any travel plans coming up?

Thank you so much for this video, Emma! This immitation Lesson really helped with my pronouciation on certain words. You got yourself a new Subscriber!😊
  • Great points highlighted by you. They are amazing too but one thing is crystal clear that without practicing there is no possibility to improve or to take your capability to the next level. I welcome all those who want to practice and discuss any topic.

Thank you!
  • First of all, happy new year dear teacher! My goal for 2020 is learning surf and travel abroad find good waves. My motivation came from people like you who provide good energy. • I have a problem with my pronunciation because I always stutter. I enjoy your English Imitation so much that I watch it as often as I can. Thank you Emma.
  • Hi Ema, I'm from Indonesia. I've been using you channel for my students to learn from the native speakers. Thanks. Really help them and me as well.
  • I have been watching ur videos for 3 months. Today I practised with u. It was amazing as well as I knew about tuk tuk. As u said that vechicle I searched from you tube. I saw the tuk tuk and beautiful Lisbon city. Tq u very much for this type of video.

This is just awesome. It’s really helpful so, it gives self confidence as I watch your video lessons, imitate and mimic you over and over again. Please create more imitation lessons. Your teaching style is just out of this world. Thank you very much!
  • @tomphilipp9996
Thank you for the help! I think you‘re doing an amazing job at teaching, and the imitation videos are just super helpful! I spent a year in the United States, so I really learned a lot about speaking fluently and confidently. However, since I’m back in my home country I’m afraid that my English skills will get rusty, so your videos are the perfect way to keep practicing my pronunciation and expand my vocabulary. 😊
