Scott's schedule is one of the mysteries of all time

37:15 I know a guy who has no Switch but LOVES his Wii U and still plays and buys games for it. He has it hooked up to a big ass projector in his party basement and good lord the 4 player Mario Kart that was played was glorious. You don't need the newest consoles. Just play whatever's fun!

Recently got back on my feet after becoming homeless in 2020. This video came at such a good time I just got my apartment and been missing games dearly. I'll check this out.
  • Scott’s trademark joke of: “I’m gonna show you a great game!” shows a bad game Never fails to amuse me

4:30 Scott fun fact, the Puyo Puyo Tetris 1 demo has a glitch during the Switch controller set up screen that lets you back out and select the other locked game modes. theyre all fully playable in the demo.
  • Man releases nearly hour long quality with no ads. The future is now.

The Yakuza series 100% belongs in this kinda conversation. ~40 hour crime dramas loaded with fun side missions and minigames, including both original minigames and Sega classics (primarily their arcade offerings, some of which are only officially playable at home in Yakuza games!), sometimes including different playable characters to shake things up, with the bulk of the series going super cheap during sales.

It’s so funny that “Bootleg Gaming Christmas” canonically takes place in March, and this episode, which basically continues from that story, is also in March because it took so long to come out

The only reason Tloedo has so many game stores is definately because Scott's single handedly keeping them afloat himself. I wouldn't be surprised if the employees see him as some sort of superhero over there.

For people that really are on a budget, only have a pc and don't mind older games, here is a better list that will give you an insane amount of time and fun for your money. Half Life 1 and 2 (as well as Sven Co-op which is completely free.) - Like a million of custom maps, campaigns, puzzle maps, horror maps, shitpost maps and so much more Doom 1 and 2 - A lifetime of custom maps, campaigns and weapons that you can run on any shitbox Amnesia Dark Descend - The horror game to have, with its peak popularity in the 10s it has a very big supply of custom campaigns that are sometimes even better than the original Garry's Mod - Definitely more multiplayer oriented (online is free on pc so you are fine), it has a giant community that offers absolutely everything, sandbox servers where you can screw around with hl physics, fun gamemodes like prop hunt and trouble in terrorist town, as well as a thousand RP servers and other gamemodes. If you and your friends can only get a single game to play for the rest of your lives, this is definitely it. Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl, Call of Pripyat and Clear Sky - Great atmospheric apocalyptic survival games that have again an insane modding scene, people make full on new games from these mods giving you wild slav hardcore survival sims Nethack, Angband, ToME and so many more (almost all of them are free as they are technically still mods of rogue) - oldschool roguelikes that have so many details put into them, that you can truly achieve almost any interaction that comes to mind when exploring the dungeons. Dwarf Fortress - I dont even know what to say, this is a simulation in which you command dwars to build expand and survive, the game is so indepth that it can pretty much generate an entire movie plot for you if you just leave it go by itself. Minecraft and Terraria - the kings of sandbox building games, terraria is definitely more boss oriented while minecraft is exploration and building. again these are games with giant modding communities that can completely change the games into something new. probably the most infinitely repayable. There are countless more examples that I just can't think of but if you really have no money, getting an older pc that can run games till 2016-18 you can still run almost all of these examples flawlessly and you will definitely have a great time. Love you Scott, but I love your fear of PC even more.

My man went from disapproval of gamepass, to Toledo Ohio advertising, to old console options and best games on a budget. It's awesome, baby!
  • Sadly, Scott's not the guy who owns Sonic Jam anymore, but at least he might not be known as "The Guy Who Owns Sonic Jam" when he's dead
  • @ReactAsyIum
He said there would be new Scott the Woz episodes this month.... ...well he's a man of his word
  • @AgentQuacc
A lot of your videos are informative but many come off as more like trivia, like "that's a cool fact" and stuff like that (while also being hilarious of course). This one really feels like a genuine guide and its really cool. Really fun to watch as always and would recommend this as an informational video to someone who felt like they couldn't get into gaming for monetary reasons
  • GENSHIN IMPACT AND JJK ARE CANON TO THE SCOTT THE WOZ LORE OMG

in the early 2000s, i used to be able to play PC titles borrowed from my library. stuff like myst, grim fandango, age of empires, icewind dale, ceasar, the total war series. etc. i think they also had ps1 games available. it was a huge lifesaver for me, as i was only able to buy only a few tjtles (on sale, too) for my PS2, but i still wanted to play as much games i could get my hands on! i played the hell out of my demo discs when i got a subscription for playstation magazine for a year or so as well. when i later got a nintendo ds lite, i got a flash cart as soon as i could, and i played so, so many games that way (thanks to romsites). i enjoyed my DS so much that i broke the hinge twice just from regular usage. this video is truly a great guide to people who don't really follow the games industry on a constant basis but still want to play games or want to catch up on old titles.

I love how Scott is able to make genuinely informational gaming content while still making it entertaining.
