Scott learns how to chase waste.

Special thanks to Zak and Make-A-Wish! Over the summer, Make-A-Wish contacted me about Zak and it was one of the coolest experiences meeting him. He requested a Scott The Woz episode on Skylanders: Trap Team back in June, but I asked if Toys to Life in general would be okay considering it would be tough to do an episode on its own about just that one game. Zak played Dex Mohs in this episode!

When someone mentions Skylanders, I will always think having a pile of dead toys just laying there during a boss fight
  • @yeasstt
I really hope Zak enjoyed this episode. It makes me happy to know Scott fulfilled his wish
  • @Enfim7072
"I'm kickin' Iron Man's ass as Baloo" has to be the best line in the full video
  • @jonahwinkler
the reason this video was 50 minutes wasn’t because he was complaining, but it was because he showed the entire clip of him loading in a character on disney infinity
  • @TazmilyGum
    Zak is such a chad.
“We’re with the make a wish foundation wanna meet The Avengers?”
“Nah I want Scott to make a video about Skylanders”
  • @vibeking1862
Now that I'm older, I can understand how the toys-to-life was just a big cash grab, but when I was a younger that shit was awesome asf, and still is

You forgot to mention that Disney Infinity had a much sweeter ending. After announcing the discontinuation of the series, Disney ported all the games to PC, titled the Gold Editions. Every single character, play set, and power piece was all unlocked at the start and each game is only $30. Although the Gold Edition games do have some content that was missing from the original console releases, the Apolo mod for Disney Infinity 3.0 is a fanmade mod that aims to add in all the characters not included in the PC port. There's also a ton of scrapped, cancelled or unused content and characters that have been restored to full functionality! If you want to play Disney Infinity without the hassle of individually buying everything, get the Gold Editions.

48:52 my dad was out of a job because he worked for Disney and they were actually super close to finishing the game when it got cancelled which was pretty frustrating for most people working on it. It has a complete Moana playset included and some Black Panther stuff if I remember correctly. He's now working for Warner Brothers and worked on Cars: Driven to Win.

I think the Waste Chaser jokes are some of the funniest things Scott's written. The "I bought 30 acres of farmland." "What are you gonna do with it?" quote followed by them just smiling in silence at the camera gets me every time
  • The fact that they actually got Michael J Fox and Stephan Merchant and Chris Pratt and Robbie Coltrane and Eddie Redmayne and Simon Pegg and Christopher Lloyd and Nick Offerman and SO many more for a literal Lego game will always be the funniest thing to me, props to them for going all out on the coolest Lego game ever made before shackling it to Toys To Life

Not only did Scott fulfill Zak’s wish but he went above and beyond making a 1 hour special and featuring him. Truly a class act and just heartwarming!
  • @deadfr0g
Everybody in the comments is giving Scott well-deserved praise for doing this huge episode for a Make-A-Wish kid... but maaaan, shoutout to that kid for requesting such a great topic!!
  • @RustyMew
Actually, even with child labor laws, assuming Dex is 14 or 15, he is legally old enough to perform labor in the US (albeit just barely)
  • @FinnGreenland
Seeing these games invokes so much nostalgia, I loved this series. Me and my brother played the hell out of our Wii and I remember we had superchargers but no portal or cars and I remember how happy I was when we finally did get them. (We played it twice.)
  • @areoants9453
Mad respect to the kid, dude was sick enough for Make-a-Wish to visit, and he chose to be immortalized in a Scott the Woz video. Bless his soul.
  • @solipso_flute
The fact scott made this hour long special all to make a kid's wish come true is so heart warming. I hope Zak watches this with a smile.
  • Honestly, my brother and I got HOURS of fun and enjoyment from all three versions of Disney Infinity (which we had all of and played on the Wii/WiiU. we even pooled months' worth of chore money to buy 3.0 ourselves). We only had maybe ten characters (not including starter pack characters), but we just kind of kicked it in the Toy Box and made maps and challenges for ourselves the best we could; literally not caring about anything else in the game nor how other aspects of the game even worked. Truly some of my fondest early gaming memories. It was surprisingly magical as a kid, and even though I absolutely recognize the problems nowadays, it's (1.0 and 3.0 especially) still probably one of my top games purely in the realm of nostalgia.

    Love the video!!

Skylanders was honestly so dope as a kid and did give you that feeling that each of your characters was really your own. So each win or level felt more personally impactful, it’s crazy how they twisted our minds 😭
